[Resolved]  Agarwal Packers & Movers — No Damage Claim / Settlement (despite insurance)

Household good consignment was given to Agarwal Packers & Movers for my relocation from Gurgaon to Nagpur on 17/05/2014, after lot of assurances from this company that all goods will be delivered in good condition, to be on the safer side I decided to avail insurance after Narsingh (packing supervisor) suggested that electronic goods are usually replaced and mechanical / furniture items are repaired. I was very much concerned for the LED TV (55”) as I did not had the packing of the same, I had repeatedly asked them to take care of the LED TV, they assured that a wooden case would made for it in the warehouse and then transported. I had declared the full amount Rs. 1.4 Lac as the value of the TV (as it was just 6 months old). And was told me to be rest assured, it will be delivered in good condition and just in case anything happens the insurance will cover all the loss. To my surprise, Agarwal delivered the goods in very bad condition, the LED screen was broken, my washing machine was damaged, I understand that a thing like washing machine can be repaired, so I got it done from LG service center based upon the assurance from Agarwal that it will be reimbursed to me, however for the LED TV, if the screen itself is broken what else is left ? I don’t want a repaired TV (screen replaced TV), when it was told to me that electronic items are replaced / or entire claim amount is refunded. The terms and condition of the insurance / what insurance / which company was never told to me at that moment. Now its more than 45 days but still no revert, or any help on my damaged goods.
