[Resolved]  Aircel — SIM CARD registration failed on Mobile

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a regular prepaid user of Aircel number [removed], Mumbai since Feb 2014. I have Aircel number for my family member as well ([removed], [removed], [removed]). My Mobile No. is [removed] in the name of registered on address [removed].

The SIM is showing “SIM Card registration failed” from 4th July 2014 when I inserted the sim on my mobile after not using the sim for 2 months. This is very important number as not only I have highly paid to the dealer for it but also it is circulated to many people both official and personal. As per the policy I know if the sim is not used for 3 months then the company has the right to deactivate it. To resolve the issue when I visited you service centre in Kurla west on 5th July I was told that the number will be available only if I go for posptpaid connection for 3 months. I told I am fine with postpaid for 3 months and wanted to activate the sim. The Executive told me that she doesn’t have the right I will have to go the other branch at Chembur.

When I visited your Chembur branch I was surprised when the Executive told me that the sim was not used for a period of 3 months. I was shocked as I had refilled it 2 month back and was using it. The card was having balance amount as well. The last time I had made a call on 30th April before going outstation. When I came back on 4th July I found sim not working. Executive told me that I have to wait till the number become active again as it was discontinued on 20th May for not using the sim for more than 3 months and I will have to buy it again from the gallery. I have highly paid the dealer for this VIP number and I will not let it go just like that. If necessary will approach legal help on this.

Please forward this email to whosoever concerned. I have to receive a real responsible answer why the sim was deactivated when I have not used it just for 2 months. As per the policy to deactive any account the sim must not be used for 3 months.

It seems that I purchased the VIP number from some dealer instead of Aircel gallery that is creating the problem or the need of VIP number by Aircel.
