Airtel — Disconnection of Number and misbehaviour by Airtel executives | |||
Unfortunately, I am a Airtel costumer using their prepaid mobile services for past 8 years. Yesterday shockingly my mobile phone was barred from receiving incoming and outgoing calls, thinking it to be some temporary issue on the part of Airtel I ignored it till today morning (i.e. 31st January, 2015). However when the services did not resume till the evening, i got slightly anxious and made a call to the airtel customer care and was shocked to know that the number has been barred by them and the reason given by the service provider was that they are re verifying customer details/documents. However, I was never intimated or given an opportunity to submit any documents for verification before disconnecting my number which is about 8 years old now. When i requested the customer care executive to reinstate the connection he informed me that its not in their hand and we would need to submit documents. As I had already re-submitted the documents to their vaipar kender airtel shop about a week or 10 days back for getting a micro sim, I asked the customer care executive to kindly look into the matter. Upon request, my call was transferred to a senior executive, who promised to resolve the issue and give a call in few minutes but he never called back. At around 8.10pm i made another call to the customer care number and after talking for a minute the customer care executive suddenly disappeared and came back after a few minutes, upon telling him that before putting a call on hold at least he should inform he started misbehaving and talked in a very bad way and disconnected the call. I am very perturbed with the way airtel is behaving with its customers and disconnecting the number of its loyal customers without even caring to intimate them about the re-verification process in advance. Since all this has resulted in a great loss to me due to the sudden disconnection of my number and has caused mental harassment due to the same and the misbehaviour of airtel executives, I would request airtel to kindly look into this matter on urgent basis.
