Airtel — Fraud: Concern Billing Broad Band: Smart Byte Fraud | |||
Dear Sir, I bring to your notice a fraud happening with consumers in selling of smart bytes packs. We own a landline number[protected], on which we have been extended broadband service as well. We subscribe to 15GB pack at the rate of ₹ 799/- I have to report a fraud which took place in my previous 26 Mar to 25 Apr 2015 billing cycle and also now happened today in my current running billing cycle. The fraud goes like this:- The speed of the broadband reduces considerably to prompt user to check the current usage of the pack. On checking of current usage it shows that the usage has come close to finishing the authorized use, in our case 15GB. Hence to continue a good speed one chooses a smart byte pack. Once chosen the speed regularizes. But after a few hours when you check the usage you find a usage of the current package still outstanding with large data. One such print screen is attached. Last month I raised this concern as a feedback on the 11-12 April 2015, and I was told that such smart bytes are never considered, whereas the bill shows the purchase as included, which is a fraud. I have raised this feed back but Airtel has yet to respond. I would request you to kindly send me an itemized bill of my data usage for last month and also of the current month till 04 May 2015. Kindly investigate the matter before I raise the level further. Also this is to inform you that the bills shall not be paid till a clarification is offered regarding the actual data usage on my number.
