[Resolved] Airtel — Sms activation | |||
I got a new microSIM for my existing number [protected] yesterday ( 05th Jan 2016 ) at about 11 am from the Airtel Office in Chennai Beach Station. I was told it will be activated within 4 hours, but the activation took nearly 12 hours, i could now call and surf internet, but still the SMS facility is not working. Because of this i am unable to activate my ICICI and Axis bank mobile banking which sends OTP, and also my credit card which sends OTP for verification. Why i have not been informed about this before? Why the Sms activation takes time? The representatives have to inform every customer who purchase a new sim about the activation time and sms activation delay. No one cares about it. In chennai Beach station Airtel branch, the token number system is not proper and the numbers jumps from 45 to 50. when asked, the person infront of computer responds that your token number is not showing up. This is happening to many when i was waiting for my token number. Being a preferred network and good customer satisfaction, Please rectify all these issues and do needful. Update: SMS service has been started for airtel mobile.
You can continue using the service.
Now i could Send and Receive Sms as usual.
