[Resolved]  Airtel — Wrong bill calculation and barring services for their mistakes

I am an airtel postpaid customer . I have 1GB free data usage free under my plan (67 CUG 199)but in between they activated 3G, I called up customer care to deactivate 3G and reactivate 2G but they activated generic 10ps/10kb plan and for 2days I was charged 2500Rs for using around 250Mb . This amount was added to my unbilled usage, it crossed my credit limit. But my usage was not crossed 1GB limit under 2G bandwidth.and whatever they calculated was wrong. I started getting calls as early as 8AM in the morning to make an interim payment of 2000+Rs otherwise my services will be barred. They barred my outgoing services along with GPRS. However I raised many concerns and sent mails as complaints .For one or 2 days I was able to get the connection back. I asked to waive off this wrong unbilled amount and asked to reactivate my services but the airtel support team kept on replying the same that I have to pay 2000Rs.So my outgoing services were barred. Even after sending sending 10s of mails they kept saying I have to revert after the bill generation.I even escalated it to appellate Mumbai team . Got the same response. If they dont have the details of our usage then who has it ? If they dont have the details and cant analyze before bill generation why barr services of customers instead? I have lost my time and services over this.and I have to pay for not using services for 11 days also for the mistake of airtel system. After bill generation, I mailed again to waive off the wrong amount. They waived off 2247Rs and saying to pay 831Rs ..Actual bill was 3083Rs. In the bill its clearly mentioned that I have used around 810-830Mb data, even then they replied me that I have used 25000Kb more than the limit . How come ? Is it not 1Gb =1024Mb ? They still need to waive off 550Rs more .

Hi Airtel Team,

Thanks for noticing here at least.
Its simple adjustment you have to make in the bill .I had got the mail saying 2247.2Rs was waived .So additional ~252 Rs has to be waived off plus the incurring tax also has to be revised.

Then my bill would be 280.255Rs. (this includes revised tax)

I had got a call from a lady with number[protected] on saturday.The lady was rude, she said the waiver will be considered next month and hanged the call . She dint let me speak properly even though she called me twice.

As of now I have made a payment of 285Rs .

So there should not be any late fees to be calculated in the coming month.
