[Resolved] Airtel — Wrongful deductions on a intermittent/not working connection | |||
I am an old customer of Airtel company since they started landline services in Dwarka, New Delhi. My broadband had not been working continuously (Frequent drops in links, Not working) with the requested speed (of the plan) since 26th March 2016. I had raised concern about being billed for the same during my repeated conversations with the Airtel customer care. I was told by the customer care that a note regarding the waiver due to not - working line was requested to be put in. I raised the same a few weeks back with the customer care and was told that the same has been raised to the seniors. Surprisingly I got a message that the whole bill payment has been deducted from my account online. I called the customer care and was told that I have to drop a mail regarding the same. Even after dropping a mail to nodal and appellate department of customer care, I was told that they have given a maximum waiver i.e. Rs. 600/=. My remainder of approx. Rs.1400 will not be refunded as stated by the appellate of Airtel. This is utter harassment and mental stress for a customer. Firstly the line takes a month and more to get corrected, then the bill gets deducted for a dead line, then customer has to chase the supplier for refunding the same. There was a hardware upgrade conducted by AIRTEL during this period. This would have resulted in many dead lines for some days. They should waive this for all the customers for the upgrade period.
