American Express Credit Card — Card Sold making false committment

I am using American Express Gold Card, this card was offered to me by an executive few months back. No one informed me that this is charge card and not a credit card. When I took this card I specifically asked the executive's that weather this card has EMI facility and he confirmed me that this card do have EMI facility.However I called customer care today as I wanted to make a payment of aprox 70000 and wanted to convert that in EMI, so I just wanted to confirm before hand. Surprisingly the executive Mr Suraj told me that this is a charge card and EMI facility is not available on this card which came as a huge shock to me. This is very disappointing and prove a point that never buy a credit card just listening to what executive is saying. People working at American express does not work on the principle of integrity and give false committment. I don't know how this request will be treated.
