Amrapali Clarks Inn — Fraudulent food bill at hotel

I have stayed at Hotel Amrapali Clarks Inn, R.R Baxi Road, Deoghar-814112 for the period from 23/10/2015 (17:48 hrs.) to 26/10/2015 (06:30 hrs) in Room no-305. During my stay at Amrapali, I have been taking food from the restaurant as per requirement and all the bills were paid by me while checking out through credit card. While checking out, I asked the front desk staff to give all the supporting bills along with the final settlement bill. But while making payment the credit card swipe machine was not responding. The hotel staff tried for three times initially and then asked me for another card. I gave him one more card and the result was same. I then told him that the machine is not working and he should try the card on oter machine. He tried o another machine and within one swipe the payment was cleared. This took lot of time and I was getting delayed as I had to board train at 8:00 am under tatkal ticket. To my surprise while checking the bills on my return to home in the evening, I found that one of the bills did not belong to my room and it was written Room No-22 with signature of a third person. The bill was signed by santosh Kr. and somebody has written in pen Room No- 305. The bill value is Rs.400/-. I immediately called the hotel front desk staff Ms.Vandana([protected]) and she said please give me some time and I will get back to you. She did not respond, failing which I again called her up and she said she has found the mistake and she will get back on next day. on 27/10/2015 she called around 12:00 noon and initially asked me to take a credit note to be adjusted on my next visit which I said that there is no possibility of mine to visit in next two-three years and accordingly I asked to return the money in my credit card account or in my bank account. She said that she has taken up the issue with manager and he will get back to me very soon. The manager Mr. Bishwajit ([protected]) did not respond again on 27/10/2015. On 28/10/2015 the manager called me up and asked me to send a scan copy of the wrong bill. I immediately send him the scan copy by e-mail on gm.[protected]@clarksinn.in He talked to me and told me that I should take a credit note as the account is already closed. After that he replied to my e-mail on 30/10/2015 denying the above and saying that some of my family memeber must have taken the food. The entire e-mail text is given below for reference. I could have easily hold the credit card payment but the hotel has cleverly kept me on hold and once they have ensured the payment they have denied the fact. after the denial I called up the manager and again he had a very rough talk with me but finally he has send an SMS asking me for my account no which I have send and I have the proof of his SMS also. Please go through the e-mail of denial as given below.It is a very small amount but I feel that I have cheated by the hotel and its staff and accordingly need your help to interfear and help me in getting the money back. Pls be informed that in the room # 305 was been occupied by 4 guest as mentioned in the GRC.It may happen that any one among the occupants have availed the services and was posted in the room. We have verified both from front office and restaurant staff that from 23rd Oct till 26th Oct .The rooms was not been sold to any other guest, Hence the benefit of doubt is to be ruled out in this case.
