I got an FDR made through my account in Gautam Nagar, Bhopal branch with the name of PWD (PIU) Satna on 03/04/15 for the purpose of submitting EMD in a bid organized by Public Works Deptt., Bhopal. Later I did not participate in the tender and did not represent that FDR as EMD to PWD due to certain reasons(the FDR remained in my pocket ). Now I want to have the premature closure of the same in my A/C for which I gave an application to the chief manager seated in the branch. But the respected chief manager there is asking me to get this FDR stamped with “released’’ all the way from the PWD in Satna (400 kms from Bhopal). Some of my friends in profession did not face this problem in other banks. Now I want to know the exact rule regarding this, and also which action should I follow.
