Birla Sun Life Insurance — Duped by their agent and company

This is Pranay Barapatre, R/O H.No.43, Top Floor, Sec-33A, Chandigarh. This is regarding policy no.[protected] which was fraudulently made by their agents thereby duping me. This is a case of complete fraud which you need to take seriously. In the months of June, 2013, I got a call from Delhi phone no.[protected] telling me that it’s an insurance grievance cell and in case I have any complaints regarding existing policy then I can tell them. I told the person on the phone about my existing Bajaj Allianz ULIP. The person on the phone asked me the policy number which I was not having. The person from the same number called me up again and told me my BAL policy number and informed me that agents are eating up commission from my BAL policy and if I want then he can get my bonus amount from that policy but I have to take the new policy from the new company. This information was given to me by someone named Aakash Singh from the same number[protected]. He also gave me his mobile number that is [protected]. He told me that your total commission of Rs.36, 000/- will be refunded to you but I have to take new policy from Birla Sunlife Insurance for this and I have to pay Rs.29, 790/- and the new policy amount will also be refunded to me within 45 days of paying the cheque. Taking this information as genuine, I quietly agreed to the Mr Aakash Singh’s information. He then sent Mr Sanjeev Kumar from BSLI (phone no.[protected]) to my office to collect the cheque of Rs.29, 790/- which I then paid it to Mr Sanjeev . Mr Aakash had promised me that the money of this policy with interest will be refunded to me by Birla Sun Life within 45 days of the cheque presented. My cheque no.302662 of Oriental Bank Of Commerce was presented on[protected] and I received the new policy from Birla Sun Life in few days. Few days later Aakash Singh called me and told that Birla Sin Life transport deptt is giving Maruti Swift Dezire in Rs.1, 50, 000/- to selected customers and he has recommended my name for it and that I have been selected so I’ll get the car worth Rs.6 Lacs in just Rs.1.5 Lacs. Then I started smelling something fishy in the transaction. He then told me that Transport deptt of Birla Sun Life will call me and inform me about how to make the payment. Then I got a call from same no.[protected] and person on the other line told me that it’s the office number of BSLI which was supposedly the number of Insurance Grievance cell also. Smelling something fraudulent in this I quickly told him that I won’t pay the money as I was asked to pay the money before the delivery of the car. Then I started calling up Mr Aakash Singh on his mobile no.[protected] as I was suspecting that the policy had been made from me in fraudulent way. As he had given me 45 days of time from the date of hand overing the cheque[protected] I called him and asked him about money. He said the process is taking little time and my money would be deposited in my account by 9th August, 2013. When I called him on 9th August, he said it would be deposited by 16th August. Then again on 16th August, I was told I would get it by 25th August. Upon calling him in the last week of August I was told that I would get it by 9th September then further it revised to 16th September and further to 23rd September, 2013. It seems that your agent Uniweallth Insurance brokers Pvt Ltd (advisor code 00249) are hand in gloves in this thing and this matter should be investigated and truth should be taken out in public. I had given this complaint to the company Birla Sun Life Insurance but rather than taking any action against the person and agent they did nothing neither they refunded my money. The agent of the company must be laughing it's way to the bank by enjoying the commission made from the policy. The company also not at all ready to pay any heed to my complaint. The same person again called me from this number[protected] and he was indicating me that I have been made fool of by him.
