[Resolved]  Bombay Hospital — Re: regarding to charge surcharge @ 20 % - Reminder-2

Bombay Hospital is charging a surcharge - 20%!!! Is such high surcharge justifiable? I have enquired with other renowned Hospitals in Mumbai itself where Surcharge is not applicable in many of the Hospitals.I am writing this because I myself experienced this recently. I was admitted recently and the hospital charged 20% surcharge on the entire bill amount. Over and above, this surcharge was not eligible for reimbursement / cashless from the insurance company as this was classified as "Non Medical" expense. Is this justifiable? Even after the hospital charging for all the services rendered, i.e. Doctor charges, nurse charges, Room charges, operation theater charges, etc.After lodging complaint with Bombay Hospital the concerns are not replying. I am unable to find the out way to proceed. I will appreciate if someone can throw more light/guide me on this issue. pradeep saini
