[Resolved]  BookMyShow — Regarding Refund of the Amount

I tried booking 2 Gold Class movie tickets of "3 " for today,
i.e; 25/12/09 through "bookmyshow.com" at Cinemax in Manisquare,
Kolkata with my HDFC bank net banking service an amount of Rs 533.09.
However after payment has been made and the amount deducted from my
account, I am getting a "Technica Error-24001" message and the seats
has not been booked.
I have an sms from HDFC stating that the amountof Rs 533.09/- has
been deducted from my account. Print screen attached of the HDFC net
banking transaction where it is clearly shown that the amount has been
debited from my account towards "bookmyshow".
Transaction # MHDF[protected].
Cheque/Ref # [protected].
But they never refund my amount

Hence request the India Consumer complaint Forum to take a strick action against the company as they practicaly cheating people money. It should be stop so that on more person lost there money

Premium Club has debited amount Rs 9899-16 from my ICICI Credit Card for membership of the Club. On 27 [September 09 ] unfortunately my husband was convinced that it was call for new Creditcard, So he informed all the details of the creditcard and Premium club group has debited the amount for the membership without my Knowledge.

I'm not interested in any kind of Club offers and I request you to refund the debited amount from my Creditcard as soon as possible.

Same with me I have also booked my tickets for 3 show at Fame Thakur Dahisar, Mumbai for 27th december show and the amount has been debited from my bank a/c but on the site it showed a technical error message also I tried calling customer care centre but no one is responding...Please if any one can help me in this regard it would be greatful

I too have encountered a similar problem today, when booking tickets for 3- from bookmyshow.com for 26th dec'09. My amount has been debited for 3-tickets .However due to technical errors the order was not completely processed and I have not receive the tickets. I have been calling them but their phone line gives a waiting period of 49-50 mins. which is ridiculous.I have also but an email to their helpdesk, but have not received a reply. I hope some strict action is taken to get back the refund, as i have already read 2 other complaints for today.
well a similar case has happned with me which is still being dragged over by then..i boought avatar tickets for fun republik, Andheri on the 22nd dec, and the same error came for me too..where as my bank reciept and transaction shows a successfull debit of Rs 441, but book my show very nicely said oh there was a failure..post then i triedcallling them up on there help line which by the way is no help..you have to go to the option where they say for home delievery you will have to talk to our custome careexecutive so please hold on the line...the funny thing is that even if you wait for an hour over the phone for their fault the line that keeps getting repeated is "that your total hold time is 2 miutes"..after holding the line for over an hour the customer rep does come on line but he has no cluse as to why a failure like this has happened or when do they plan to solve it or even what is the procedure if no action is taken in few days...after arguing with the guy and explaining how harrasing the procedure is( to which he is not reallly concerned) the only thing he tells me is that i will also have to write a mail to their help desk regarding this problem..and he is also certain the entire problem lies with my bank..and they are not at fault by any means..any hw in my frustaration i even do that..since i dont know what else can i do..i write them a mail explaining my problemto which a day later i recieve a mail saying that they are sorry but they are not at fault and the bank should be returning my money in another 3-4 working days..and they are not holding my money..a week later..with no response from their side or even a call as to we are trying to solve your problem..i again aprroach them..this time again they have no clue as to when i am being refunded they again think its not their fault..actually they dont have any clues of their owb system .they further ask me to send a scanned copy of my account statement which states a transaction like this has happened when i say why cant they access their records since they should be keepin a copy of all transactions they are cluless since in my first mail itself i had mentioned my transaction details..well adding to my security lapse..with no trust left in them i still confirming with my bank send them my statement to which a week laterthey reply askin me for my statement..well i am completely frustrated of their looting businness and their harrasing services..and they surely are making use of net banking being still a not very safe, and explored medium in india and they really think all indians are uneducated and can be easily taken for a ride, i actually think they should not allowed to run cheat site like that and alll the customers should compensated for their time, money, and mental harrasment.

i have a bigger fiasco with book my show

1. In August 2011 the ticket for the 1st indian formula 1 race was booked for around less than Rs.7000 Rs. They assured big things in their web site and among other things they assured that they will get the tickets delivered by september 2011.

2. The end of september was coming and on 23rd september i checked the site, it said " your ticket dispatched"

3. Every time i call them, a stupid call centre employee ( i call stupid because, because he says the same thing again and again without even attempting to answer/redress the complaint, probably they are trained to be stupid, so that the company can escape from the customers), goes round and round and buys from me two more days of time. "you will get the tickets this, Thursday, and so on

4.One executive says that they have dispatched throu EXPRESS IT COURIER ( dear courier co, watch if you are part of the scam scheme), but refuses to give consignment no.

5.On pursuiing further, through rough, tough, sometime abusive talk, scolding talk, the call centre attendant says that they have not yet dispatched it yet.
6. I am sure they are selling tickets in black market at a much higher price and thus depriving genuine buyers.

7. I am sure the F1 organisation may not know this, which i will pursue to get them a delisted.

8. I am also sure that they will deliver the tickets after the F1 race is over

lessons learnt

1. book my show bookings means you are booking your last show of your life

2. Never trust onlin net booking, since neither RBI, nor Govt monitors them at all

BookMyShow — non refund of payback points

Booking failure date : Jan 5 2014 INCIDENT ID [Incident:[protected]] Till date payback points not returned. As per T&C 30 days is max limit for resolution of queries. Poor customer care at[protected] who are ill equipped to deal with this,
