[Resolved]  BPTP (Countrywide Promoters) Md: Kabul Chawla — Fraud, unethical business practices

Address:Faridabad, Haryana

BPTP (CountryWide Promoters) is conducting fraud and indulging in unethical business practices. This is being brought to the attention of the Consumer agency and complaints have been filed with the respective governing bodies as necessary with a request for immediate action.

BPTP's Management (MD: Kabul Chawla) and the directors are well-aware of their unethical practices and are defiant in maintaining their wrongful business practices.

Some examples of BPTP's fraudulent actions in Faridabad include but not limited are:

1. Over a period of 7 years BPTP has yet to fulfill its commitment in completing the projects and housing units.
As a result of these delays, BPTP is seeking unjustified protection under nebulous clauses in the Buyer agreement to convince customers that they are not liable to pay any delayed possession penalties as outlined in the Agreement.
BPTP's actions are fraudulent and customers are owed the delayed possession penalty. Customers who wish to claim the amounts due should file their complaints and/or legal claims.

2. BPTP has demanded payments from customers upto 95% of the total amount due while knowing that they have not reached the milestones defined in the construction-linked payment plan. BPTP owes customers interest for the time it has held customers funds.BPTP has also failed and is denying customers the due interest for holding excess EDC amounts.

3. To extort additional funds from customers, BPTP has increased the Super Area of the flats while not increasing the actual area of the unit. BPTP along with its architects should be held liable for this fraudulent practice.

4. BPTP has delayed construction of the flats and is now shifting blame on HUDA for not granting the Occupancy Certificate. The Occupancy Certificate can not be issued unless BPTP shows that a building is completed. BPTP.

5. Despite not having the Occupancy Certificate, BPTP has allowed illegal inhabitation of the buidlings. Flat owners are living in buildings and getting their electricity supplied through generators while BPTP claims it is still awaiting the Occupancy Certificate.

6. In addition to the above, BPTP has slapped adhoc charges such as Electricity Connection Charges of approx. Rs. 15, 000/unit which as per the payment plan were included in the costs. (As stated above, there is no electric supply for the buildings and is being supplied via generators).

Action to stop BPTP from these unlawful practices is requested with immediate effect. Failure of affected customers to file their complaints and inaction by the governing bodies is a primary reason for BPTP to continue its fraudulent practices.

Take Action by filing your complaint and track it to make sure it is processed. If not, file a complaint with the governing authority. It is time to stop BPTP and ensure it fulfills its obligations while being held responsible for its fraud.

Everything in this Post is now being exposed. It is time BPTP owners took action and take the complaint to the respective Govt./Judicial bodies. BPTP and its directors are on the run.
BPTP has eaten up all the funds/money collected from its customers without giving them possession of the allotted flats. Several customers have already been waiting for more than 7 years. BPTP has illegally collected the Stamp Duty and Registration charges from its customers and have failed to give them possession of their flats. The are an unethical organisation that is preparing for its demise. It would be no surprise if the Directors of BPTP abscond and leave the country with funds collected from customer's. Yes, there are laws for extadition, but all of this could mean that customers will not see their money or flats that have been paid for in full for time to come.

In the wake of the impending elections in Haryana, investigations into Vadra's land deals and the nexus between BPTP and the source of their funds, BPTP has realised that they need to close their operations. BPTP has closed its Connaught Place Offices. They have moved their Gurgaon offices to one floor (seeking lease for the other floors to stay afloat).

Several charges have been brought against Mr. Kabul Chawla (MD, BPTP, Country Wide and several of the front companies that own the land upon which BPTP has build) and several are been filed for criminal acts.

The conditions under which BPTP residents are living is deplorable - no electricity from the mains, vendor payments have not been made by BPTP and hence all work has come to a standstill. Customers are turned away without any real commitment from BPTP or a time line to resolve them.

BPTP and those associated with it will be embroiled in a battle for years to come without any resolution.

Dear BPTP, do you wish to conduct your business in an ethical manner? If not, you will now be spending the funds collected from your customers on fighting criminal charges, which you are already doing.

The CCI is already investigating BPTP among other builders for their unfair business practices. All good things, BPTP, comes to an end.
