[Resolved] Reliance Communications Limited — Reliance - Harassment SMS for paying bill for unused service | |||
I had a reliance internet connection some where April 2012. It was a rented house and agreement was over so I had to move to different house. I tried calling customer care to disconnect service one month before leaving the house but no success after waiting 15-20 mins. So I called the agent (Dilip - [protected]) to do the needful. As I left the house with my family, there is no way I will use their service. I request to take back Modem given by Reliance and return my deposit. But couple of months later I received call from Reliance regarding payment of due bill. My husband who knows all this talked to Reliance saying this is a fault from Reliance and we do not owe any bill as we did not use any service so they took our complant (don't remember complaint #) in this regard. Since everything was discussed and communicated, we did not get any call further. Now all of a sudden I start receiving as message from [protected] asking to contact [protected] saying Today is the last date to withdraw the notice pay of Rs 598 vide ban no [protected] or else be present at Pune Court on 22nd Sept 2013. This is totally unacceptable and unethical. If someone did not use service and service provider delayed the dis-connection request, why consumer should pay the bill. Please can someone help here.
