I have been using the BSNL's BBG FN COMBO 500 scheme for the past 4 years with no complaints, other than some connectivity issues. The night usage from 2am to 8am served me good until yesterday when I checked my bill on "https://portal1.bsnl.in/aspxfiles/instapay.aspx" which shows a staggering amount of Rs. 25403. I then googled about to find the full usage details when came to know that the plan has been discontinued almost a month and a half ago. Why did BSNL not intimate about this Change of Plan? For Telephone Bill, they send emails every month, for other tariffs and offers, they send sms' etc. So why can't they intimate the change of plans to me? I can't afford that much! After a good amount of googling, I found this the case of hundreds of other customers. Is this some sort of strategy of BSNL to make money?
