I have paid a bill for consumer no. [protected] amounting to Rs. 7344.49 from my United Bank of India Netbanking on 20.11.2014 at 13:39:18 Hrs. Unfortunately the E-receipt has not been generated but the amount has been deducted from my bank account. Transaction reference no. is CESC /[protected]. Please make sure that the amount has been credited to the above consumer no. account or not? Otherwise investigate properly & do the needful and issue me the e-receipt or credit the amount to my bank account, i[censored]nsuccessful.

This is to inform that CESC has sent e-receipt in my registered mail box on 20th Nov. The same thing happened to me what you have stated in comments on 17th Nov. I was bit worried, but thanks to CESE for the responses and the e-receipt.
I think if you did the transaction on 20th NOV then you may get the e-receipt by 24th possibly, when they verified your transaction with the bank. So I think not to worry much because you have transaction details from the bank side.
Also, I think CESC has to rectify or maintain their system so that the e-receipt get generated smoothly during the transaction
