Chevrolet — Engine power

Hi My name is Anson Fernandes. I have a Chevrolet Cruze LT manual 2012 model. Registration number GA 08 K 8182 I purchased it at Subrai motors Goa India. Whose area manager is Mr Sanjay kadekar. All I can say is that the cars are great. But the service center and the management is one of the worst. It's a shame to Chevrolet and General Motors. To have such service and people working under them. Approximately two months ago I had taken my car to Subrai motors to change the battery. At that time they told me that the engine air filter is worn out. Also the automatic rain sensor has to be checked as it never worked since I purchased the car. They also broke my guard under the hood when their employees were bringing my car down after the wash. Which they said that they will replace. I told them to replace the air filter. But they said that they don't have that in the stock and they need to order it. They told me that it will take about a week and they will call me and let me know as soon as it comes. They also said that they will check the rain sensor and replace the guard at the same time. One week past, no call from Subrai motors. Two weeks past. Still nothing. After this I called them to ask what was happening with my order. They said that they are still waiting. They told me that they will call me. Every time I called to ask they said that they are waiting for it too. After one moth I called the Delhi customer care. I spoke to Mr Anupam and registered the complain. Complain no 27212326 They got back after a lot of trouble. But still nothing was happening. Finally they said that Mr Sanjay will handle the situation. One week ago I was driving on a main highway. And suddenly my car slowed down on the road as it touched 120 km. on the screen a CODE 84 was flashed with the yellow car light with spanner. I checked the manual and it said "engine power reduced". I called Subrai motors asking their advice. I spoke to Mr Sanjay who told me that they have to check and see what is the problem. He told me to take the car to MARGAO service centre. After they checked they found out that there is a problem with the mass air flow sensor. Which happened because they did not change the filter which I had asked them to replace more than one and a half month ago. Mr Sanjay told me that they have to research on the Internet and find out what this problem is. I think This will really make me trust them and their work and how professional they are. Sorry for my sarcasm, but I don't know what else to say. I told them fine. Every time I called them they said that they will call back. But never did. I had to call them and ask them what is happening. But always they came up with a new story. They told me that it is safe to drive the car in this condition. But only thing is that it won't cross 120km. Seriously????? Why would I pay so much money for the car if I have to drive it in this condition? Mr Sanjay told me that he will order the sensor and the other parts and it will come in about five days. So my question is, why you could not do this before? Why the customer have to wait for such a long time? When it could be done in five days? Today I took the car out. When I came back I saw that the car is giving out pitch black smoke leaving black carbon all over the back trunk. I called Mr Sanjay to ask him why this is happening? He said that he have to find out. Well!!! It looks like Mr Sanjay doesn't know anything about his work. I called him back to ask him the same question AGAIN!!! He said that It is happening for the same reason. He also told me not to drive the car now. Because it might not be safe!!! Come on!!! First you say to drive the car and now not too??? Subrai motors is like a cat and mice play. Their area manager don't know how to help the customer. And they never have parts for the cars. This is really frustrating. And I don't know who can help me and my car. I'm wasting my time, money, energy, patience and my peace. I don't know how I can trust them anymore. Can someone please help???? I had just taken the car again to them. And now they said that sensor is fine. It's the air filter problem. So they took out the first cotton layer of the filter. But still giving out smoke. We took the car for a drive but the CODE 84 still appears on the screen. All this happens because they did not care to replace my air filter which I had told them to do almost two months ago. Now he is telling me that I have to wait another five days for the filter. They also told me that they had contacted somebody name shreekant in GM who did not respond to them. As he said that he was busy. He also told them there there is no complain from me to GM. Please tell me how should I react?? I feel like I have tears in my eyes because we love our car. And it looks like no one can help. Please tell me what should I do??? My car is still under warranty. This are details. Subrai motors has fixed my issue. It seems it was not the sensor or the filter but a pipe in the engine that was broken. And they found the problem almost after a month. It's a shame that the customer have to wait such a long time. And even when they did find the problem, I had to wait for three days because they had to order it. Also they told me that I had to pay for engine air filter because it's a service item. Which is true. But they did not have it. My question is, why was the filter not available if it's a service item? This is a mental, and emotional blackmail towards the customer.
Why should people buy these cars if there is no proper service?? I raised my voice. But everyone will not be like this. There are people who are shy. There are people who will listen to everything they say. There are people who would not question back. And someone should do something about it. As for me, they took almost more than two months to fix my problem. Even after raising my voice. So imagine how much more the people have to wait who don't say anything. Thank you Subrai motors for wasting so much of my time, money and energy. As for chevrolet, you should investigate how and why this pipe broke. Because there is no external damage to it. Good that my car was under warranty. If not, I would end up paying almost 13000/-
