Citibank — Not processing Credit card

Hi Citibank, I have applied for the citibank credit card which was referred by my friend.They accepted the application and sent the reference number([protected]) but today I got a mail from citibank that we are unable to process your application so can i know the reason behind that mail.I didn't get any correct solution from customer care.
