[Resolved]  CMJ University — Refund for Ph.D. fees paid to CMJ University via IMSR

Sir/Madam My name is Raman. I had taken admission in Ph.D. program of CMJ via IMSR Mumbai. Just like others, IMSR has been acting as study center or intermediatory for the whole process of registration, fees etc. Even the CMJ books and everything was printed by IMSR with their name on the covers. I paid them Rs. 66000 before I heard the news of dissolution. When contacted IMSR, they pretend to be so clean. Here is an e-mail from them. { We as well as none of the student had anticipated that such news will come up in future. For your information the University is still listed in UGC website. We are positive that in future every thing will become normal but since you have made decision to withdraw your admission, we can not request you to wait further. Since the fees has been paid by DD to the university the refund will be made by University. There is no official information about process of refund from CMJ University or Governor of Meghalaya but you can write a letter to university mentioning news about the University. The letter should be addressed to The Chancellor, CMJ University, Modrina Mansion, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, Meghalaya-793 003. Please also attach photocopy of CMJ University payment receipt. We will be happy if you get refund from University and you pursue your education from other renowned university. Please do not create bad image about us, we have been very kind and prompt in our service to you but we never had control on such unfortunate event. } Has anyone in Ph.D. program gotten the refund yet? How can I claim refund of my fees? I have all the receipts and everything as proof. Is it possible to sue CMJ in court for refund of student's fees? If CMJ has been dissolved who will take care of fees refund now? Please reply.
