With due respect we would like to bring your kind attention towards the TV serial “Bani – Ishq da Kalma” telecasted on Colors Channel. The Episode telecasted on 25th November 2013, Monday at 10:30 pm (IST) has shown the scene that hurts Sikh Sentiments. The Detail of the scene is:
“As all sit at the breakfast table with uncovered head, and Parmeet (lead role) is busy on the call, bani (lead role) serves everyone Karah prashad and served Karah Parshad in Parmeet's plate. Parmeet becomes angry on Bani and Bani replies that she has prepared the Karah Parshad and performed Ardass for him on the Occasion of GURU NANAK JAYANTI. But Parmeet rudely throws away the plate the entire prashad falls on the ground.”
This is an insult to Karah Parshaad which is an important part of Sikh Religion Maryada. Other than this scene there are many other scenes in this serial which are shown on an often are against Sikh Religion and hurts Sikh Sentiments.
We humbly request you to take serious action against Lead Roles, Producer/Director and Colors Channel who are hurting sentiments of a community. We look forward for your kind cooperation and strict action against the responsible persons.
