My name is Vandana sharma on 25-May- 2007 I got enrolled into an MBA program from ICFAI under enrollment number MBA2095481. My situation went bad and wanted to discontinue the program... on 20-May-2007 i wrote them stating that wont b able to continue this... but they denied stating that u'll have to continue this as I've signed the contract... what contract are we selling education... i am from a very poor family and cannot afford to continue further studies... but who understands... I paid Rs. 10000 as advance payment and for remaining fee I opted for EMI payment of fees of Rs. 4323/month for 18 months. I had one cheques at the time and the sales guy from ICFAI forced me that that particular day was the last date and told me that I can give one cheques for Rs 77,814, as a promise note that i will replace this cheque with 17 cheques for Rs. 4323/month within a month.

This is such a Stupid things in such a Democratic country this things has to be taken care by Hon. Supreme court of India and provide justice to the students and penalized these types of organizations.

ICFAI is the money making fake university. Beware of It.

In the present scenario, such institutions having no infrastructure are simply making money by enrolling students and through nexus with banks loans are disbursed so as to collect the Fees in advance.Degrees awarded by these institutions have no value in the market, employers do not give cognizance .Students find themselves in pitiable situation as how to pay back the loan.
GOI should intervene and put embargo on such institutions. money making schools must be stopped in the larger interest of society.

ICFAI is the worst kind of university one can ever join. They keep calling you until your join them. Their salesmen are worse than Credit card and personal loan marketeers. And once you join, they'll try to ensure that you don't pass their exams.

Yes, I agree with vandana & feeling sorry for everyone trapped by ICFAI finance agents .
They keep on spamming my mailbox, I frequently see these guys opening there workshop at every corner of major metros.
Luring students who could not qualify CAT, CET with flying colors.
Hoping to fulfill there management dreams but the innocent students don't know how they trap u in their web.
They will take full money & fail you in exams.
I hope more & more people read this & prevent themselves from being fooled by this fake univesrity.

This is all writing in vain and guys who all r writing such rubbish and defaming the university should be severely dealt with and punished. ICFAI is one of the best universities in India and deciding to do a course from ICFAI is at your own risk as the course contents are tough and require thorough studies. The course is definitely not meant for the weak hearted and the frustrated. I am myself a student of ICFAI and doing MBA from the institute for more than the last 2 years.

I have no relation with this university. Though i am a MBA holder from some another university, I would like to suguest you guys to form a group and apeal to the university. Keep a proof and apply to education department and court to get your money back. As long as contract is concern, they can not denay to [give your money back ] as they are still serving and the service is unable to satishfy their customer as per their contract { might be saying 'excellent'} has not finished, you guys can apply for an un-setisfied policy run by service provider to their consumer and these way you may forced to university to pay your money back.

i agree with all who suffering or suffered with cheater icfai university. they are harming indian education standard & that is a matter of same for the government of india education department, they dont take any action regarding these type of cheater university.Govnt. provided them a licence to disapoint innocent and poor student without any output. i want to suggest if possible please complain to cosumer forum court thats no is 1800114000

Dear Sir,

I Ankur Jain enrollment No 6010020743968 have enrolled myself for MBA by paying 10000 bucks. To make the rest of payment I selected EMI. However due to financial inability I am not in position to make the rest of the payment. SO I asked ICFAI guys what is the alternate. but they said as they have Post Dated Cheque so I need to make the payment on time. Else I will come in trouble.

I told them as they already received nearly 7 EMI of Rs. 3250/- & Rs. 10000 in the beginning. So I want to quit at this moment right now. They said we can not do that. This is against the policy I have signed. They said I can not quit from this program. I need to make full payment.

I am not in the position to make the payment.

I told them that as I have not borrowed money from them instead of that I am making the payment for the thing that I am not sure I will able to get that or not. Now I don't want to do that thing so why they are forcing me to make money. i don't have money to give them at this time.

PLEASE HELP ME...

hi guys,
im a student of icfai suffering not only from its money-making frauds. but also the poor quality of infrastructure and faculty quality there.u dont even get the ambience of a b-school there. its equally de-motivating.can u imagine friends?the library is closed cos of a very strange reason-no librarians are appointed!!!. u know lib. & computer labs are vital 4 every b-school.no aicte approval too.they say only 4 technical education aicte approval is necessary, but friends tell me hw many b-schoolshave aicte recognition.our careers are at stake.

I had also enrolled for the MBA programme in Jan 2006 and I signed up for the emi facility. I payed the 10, 000 advancen gave them 18 PDC's. I got engaged in April 2006 n since I was to relocate to another country after my marriage in Nov i decided to discontinue the course. I made a stop payment on my cheques and informed them that i do not wish to continue with the MBA. they of coz said that wsa not possible n dat I have to continue it. They also told me even if I am abroad i can still continue the MBA from there. But I did not get any details of the same from them. Before my wedding they started sending sum collection agents to my place n with the prospect of continuing the mba from
abroad i paid about 30, 000 to them. but then after marraige ofcoz i cud not continue the mba, in august last year they started sending people to my house in mumbai demanding payment. I went to Mumbai for my delivery in December 2007, before which I had sent 3 emails to ICFAI requesting to discontinue the course since i was going to have a baby n it wud b practically impossible to continue, but again i received no response. I was even willing to pay them the remaining money jus to get rid of them, but they never reverted back. so i jus left things as they were n now they sent sum court order to my parents house, this has really disturbed my parents a lot n i am here in a foriegn country with a baby to care for. Really not sutre how to deal wid this.

Can u plz help me out n gimme sum suggestions?

I am also sailing in the same boat. Had enrolled for MBA program and had to discontinue the same on account of the news item to the effect that it was not recognized by the appropriate institution...However, I am planning to lodge a complaint in consumer forum and we could also give the item to any newspaper...
