[Resolved]  3 Free Gifts — already renewed--what are the 3 gifts?

Do I get 3 free gifts? I don't renew until December. Are these comlaints valid? I hate to believe it, so prove to me otherwise.

I have been offered free gifts for subscribing to Readers Digest many times but have never received any. I don't subscribe for free gifts, I do so because I like the magazine. The first thing I do when a magazine arrives I tear out all the advertisements, especialy the drug ones. I admit there isn't much magazine left but I don't like to be reminded that I am saubscribing to a rag. I also was not a happy person when I was made aware that Readers Digest is not an independent magazine but supported by PCH. What a downer. Now we understand why so many think it is a scam and it just might be. I am on the last sunscription they weill ever see. This isn't entirely because of the gift scam but because I don't respect the magazine.

I am appalled to discover that RD would blatantly masquerade as a benevolent publisher when in fact they are neither benevolent nor honest with their readership. Perhaps an attorney could dissuade them from such misleading and dishonest tactics. Come on barristers, help us out here!

I too have renewed and gotten this card, year after year, and have never been able to receive my 3 free gifts. I have send email complaints to readers digest, and they say, keep trying to website it does not work, where is my free gifts??? Maureen

I have to agree that honesty and integrity are becoming rare traits on the net lately. This is just another examble of business out to get the consumer. Promise anything, and give the suckers nothing I almost didn't renew, now I wish that I hadn't.

3 free gifts — free gifts/not getting mag

Several months ago I ordered Readers Digest and was offered 1 free gift subscription. I never got my subscription and do not know if the free subscription went to my sister or not. This was a special for $9.99. Last month I called and was told I only get the one for my sister for the $9.99. My mother is 91 yrs old and I want the mag. for her, so I ordered another subscription. We finally starated getting that. Went on line for 3 free gifts,,,,,,,,,,,nothing there. What's happening to Readers Digest??????????
