[Resolved]  ICFAI — Not getting MBA certificate

Yes, I do agree with all above, even i got the mail asking for Rs.5000/- to dispatch the final MBA completion certificate..

Even i have joined before 2007 and not interested in paying Rs.5000/- and joining alumni.

Compliant has to be registered against them to get legal justice for the ICFAI students.

I have already consulted my lawyer and i will take this legally in case i do not hear from them. legally they cannot hold my certificates after all, the efforts were mine and i have paid all the fees mentioned in their prospectus.Who is interested in this Alumni nonsense

I did receive the same kind of mail to pay Rs 5000 to initiate the dispatch process of my final certificates. But, I promptly replied back that I am not at all interested in this Alumni and requested them to send my certificates ASAP.

Meanwhile, I've got a call from this Alumni and particularly inquired about my certificates. I've been told to contact the Alumni if I don't receive my certificates by Apr 2nd week. They act as if they are intermediatery between us and the university. This is not at all acceptable and as everyone mentioned ICFAI can't legally hold our certificates.

Guys

I would rather pay 5K to my lawyer to take this matter to court of law, they cannot make us pay any monies which were not asked at time of enrollment and withholding certificates is unconstitutional and illegal.

yup everybody is right icfai is interested in money makin coz they cheat students 4 their benefit even i was also student of icfai mba course when i reliased that they r charging too much i just requested for withdrawl from this course they didnt lamme do that in 2008 i stopped my all bank cheques after that they were sending me leggal notices where is written in law if im not studying or not given any exams they send me legal notices 6 times after that i contacted my lawer he sent something to them thank got now they dont send anything to my home it's second year so ICFAI SUCKS guys dont pay anything to them take legal action but im sad coz i wasted my 45000 rs it's bad

I have the same problem about this simbag fees.
When I approached the local office for payment of fees.. they just dont know how to accept the fees... the guy there call 3-4 peoples and told me currently coordinator is not there so please come tomorrow.. when i mailed to ssd first reply came after 2 days.. its mandatory and I have to pay it.its maintained in the admission prospectus.. but when i asked How to pay it? I am still waiting for the reply...
So what is this all about... First they introduce a awkward fees and then no further information about it.
In admission prospectus it is maintioned that I have to pay the fees but how many? is not maintioned ...

I think before posting ur problem as complaints against the University, u should have approached to Student Service Dept at [protected]@icfaiuniversity.in mentioning ur enrollment number.

Not getting MBA certificate
i have been pursuing MBA from ICFAI distance learning from April 2006. i recently passed all my exams and was waiting for my certificate. recently i got an email from them asking me to join CIMBAG, which is the alumni organization before i can get my degree certificate. the fee for joining CIMBAG is Rs 5000. so after clearing all my exam fee, i still have to pay Rs 5000 before i can get my degree. i believe, that this is like asking Ransom before my degree certificate is released. The sites for CIMBAG says that it is not for profit organization (http://www.cimbag.org/, http://www.flexiblemba.org/alumni_council.asp/ ). on the other hand they are asking money. i am not interested in joining the alumni organization, but they still want me to pay the money.

If you are not getting a response to your query, did you get an opportunitiy to speak to Dean, SSD. Please speak to him, Im sure, you will get immediate attention. Please address your email to him directly, last week I had an issue with regard to PDC, and I sent a mail and spoke to him over phone, and in next half-a-day, it got resolved. Lets have hope and expect things to happen in your favor. Finally, I congratulate you on your successful completion of the program.
