[Resolved]  Maruti Swift Dzire — Maruti Suzuki Dzire Booking Problems

I have been trying to book a Maruti Swift Dezire VXI from the last few days, and am going through the a harrowing experience with the Dealers. I first went to Pratham Motors at Outer Ring Road to book the car. They refused to take a booking and told me that Maruti has stopped taking booking of Swift Dezire cars. When I put pressure on them they told me that they can take the booking but the delivery would take 9 months. They had 2 weeks back told me that the delivery would take 3 months, which was also long, but I was ready to accept it. But last week they told me that they would be able to deliver in 9 months. I was also surprised by their behavior.

I then called up the Maruti call center and spoke to Jiten, He told me that there was no stop from Maruti’s end on booking for Dezire and the delivery period was much earlier than 3 months. He took my mobile no. and promised me that somebody would be calling me at the earliest. But till now there is no call.

After that I spoke to multiple other dealers in Bangalore for the booking but every body was mentioning that the delivery would take 4 to 6 months. When I spoke to Mr. Anil from RNS Motors, Yesthwantapur. He told me that they could deliver the vehicle in 3 months time, I was relived and asked him to send a person to take the booking immediately. But nobody came for the booking till afternoon. Then I had to call Mr.Anil multiple times. Then at last in the evening he promised that one sales executive would reach my home late in the evening.

At last at 8 PM one Sales Executive from RNS Motors Bomanhalli reaches my home, gives me a price and tells me that there are no discounts and any freebees. I agree to the same and fill the booking form. After filling the form when I was giving him a cheque of Rs.25, 000/- as the booking amount, he refused to take it and said that the Booking amount for the Swift Dezire is Rs.1, 00, 000/-, which is fixed by Maruti. I asked him to show me documentation to this effect, he was unable to show any documentation. After that I spoke to the Sales Manager, of RNS Motors Bommanhalli and also with Mr. Anil from RNS Motors Yeshwantpur the accept Rs.25, 000/- as the booking amount, but they FLATLY REFUSED.

After that I also called the Maurti call center again and spoke to Mr. Danish, and asked him if Maruti had fixed the booking amount of Rs.1, 00, 000/- for the Swift Dezire. He told me that Maruti had not fixed any thing of this kind and he would take it up with the concerned authorities. I asked him for the phone nos. of the Regional Manager at Bangalore of his mail id. He refused to give them to me and just gave a email id [protected]@maruti.co.in.

At end of all this experiences I feel very disturbed with the way I was treated by the Maruti dealers. The attitude they have is like they have a monopoly and can take the customers for a ride. My not buying a Maruti car will not make any difference to a big company like Maruti. I just wanted to check with Maruti if this the way the want their dealers to treat customers and claim to be the Winner of J.D.Power Customer Satisfaction awards, year after year.

I had sent the entire above details to the email id provided by the call center and also put in the details in their web site. I got a reply mentioning that the complaint has been sent to the concerned department and they would get back to me. 5 days had passed and there was no reply. So I sent a reminder mail.

Some body then called from the call center and was taking the details when the line got disconnected. He did not bother to call me again after that. This is kind of service we get from the leading Car Manufacturer in India.

may be the problem is of the new design they made for rear door, ie there may be problem with the joinst of the back door.
hi aniruddha

i booked dzire on 12th april in RNS motors bangalore .
they are telling i have wait for another 8 months.is dzire is worth to
wait for 10 or more months since already 2 months are over.
they are not giving any commitment.

let me know when did you booked the vehicle and when they told it will be delivered?

regards
Deepak
Read all the posts and felt very sorry and disgusted at the same time with the kind of dealer's attitude towards the customer.
I too wanted to book the dzire but because of the long waiting period, didn't. Delay to some extent is acceptable provided the dealers keep the customers well informed about the developments.

But unfortunately after the money exchanges hands there is a altogether different response from the dealers. Maruti is now behaving like any other nationalized banks. Customers can go to hell.

I too strongly feel that MSIL should be taught a very big lesson, but sadly it wouldn't affect them much as they would continue to fool more and more ignorant people. Its would be a never ending battle, thanks to the judicial system that we are bound to.

If only they had fooled the Talibans like this, they would have got the deserving feedback by now.
How do you justify taking more money after you book it for a lower price. Absolutely rubbish. And some of the customers have paid in full, what about them. MSIL deserves a public beating.
Hi
When i booked the dzire (zdi azure grey on 12 april) at RNS motors yeshwantpur bangalore i have given them enough time for them to deliver by 25 august. they told waiting time is 2-3 months. surly we will deliver by aug 25 2008 and took booking(booking amount 100000).

They have maintained a bogus priority, shockingly now they are telling me vehicle delivery will take another 8 months. so total 10 months that too not committed.

do you thing this is fair? how maruti and its dealers are treating their customers. i feel the wait is going to be infinite.
maruti is behaving like they are selling the car freely.
Junk companies will have junk policies
Maruti is a company, I had booked a Dzire VXI on 14.04.08, and was promised delivery in 20 days,
Till date no delivery happened, and the dealer is asking for the increased price of 20K now for the car...If car was booked in April with 1lac booking amount, why should I bear the price burden...

A typical govenment company...no one to listen..all dead ppl sitting with deaf ears...

Go to Hyundai man...that's the company to revolutionise the customer-satisfaction levels in India...thats the company that knows how to value the customers...
maruti is a good company performance wise, but they are treating customers badly this is not fair if they do not change their view towards customers they will lose many more customers.
I dont believe this. Maruti is a company because of losers like you. Its a complete piece of . They dont have the quality to sell Maruti products anywhere else. They might be selling in countries far worse than India. What would you call a motor company that did even have a seat belt until government started making seat belts compulsory. We are not talking of side bar beams or airbags or ABS or ESP. What is expected is BASIC safety features. If Mr. Khattar tries to sell Alto or Omni in a western country, he would be tried for mass murder and I am not joking here.

Until people realise that they are relishing , they wont be stopped feeding . Buy ANYTHING but maruti and then these would know what quality is.. What award winning customer survey are we taking about? Who conducts it and who takes them? In India EVERYTHING can be bought. And every new car claims to have won this prize. I dont consider ANY car manufactured in India to be a car.

And the reason is the citizens. They elect disgusting politicians to power, buy cars like crazy, drive like maniacs and have NO moral values. It should be called [censored]IA.
hi satish,

I don't agree that indians do not have sense to choose the car.
indians are more wise in choosing there car.. but in india we don't have
much choice. i completly agree maruti is full of people. but poor indians don't have
much to choose. thats why these ba**ards are ruling here.
i really feel to kick each of them. my blood boils out seeing the dealers response.

ravi
hi all,

I never seen such a bad company in my life which cannot produce enough cars (which is
there main bussiness) match the customer requirements.
They should have thought of this earliar only, its totally bad planning or
gimmick played by maruti.

maruti is couting its last days in the indian history.

bye maruti.
MUL thinks that its only one company in india which provide good vehicles( offcouse not so good as hyndai ).
but they are creating false demand. they can easily produce the car to meet the demand
but they want to sell other cars so they take booking for dzire and try to sell zen estilo or wagon R.

this is what is going on.

regards
dinesh
Guys,

Atlast I have got my DZire VXI Beige...Yesterday i got the delivery...Though at an extra premium of 10k...The dealer started telling all kind of stories like "we had to pressurize maruti to send the car as you are pressurizing us. The demand is very high..people are ready to give 25K...diesel cars are going at a premium of 50K" and all sorts of stuff...So, i bargained for 10K...Had it been any other time i would have fought with him..But yesterday my car was there infront of my eyes and i could not restratin :-) my 3 months anxiety to get the car...I booked the car on March 31st at Acer Motors Hyderabad...But the car is really good guys...smooth and A/C was really good...Though did not get time to explore all the features despite of the demo given by the dealer...All the best to you all..

Cheers
Kiran...
Just to update you guys I have cancelled my Dzire booking and have bought Aveo. After having bought this car I am really happy with it and now I understand what a car buying experience should be. Till the time i was going for Dzire I felt like a person standing in a ration shop. Good that I realised. Aveo is very VFM option and doesnt cost much as well. Just go and give it a try. You will know what 6lac car is ought to be.
hi vivek,
Congrates for your new aveo !!
what was the onroad price? i too have booked palio diesel but 2 weeks waiting.
so can explore this possiblity also.
How is the car?
i have forgotten the dzire completly since the wait is never ending.
no transperancy, dealers are not giving any info, maintaining false seniarity. they are giving the cars
to who pay them premium.
yes i know RNS motors yeshwantpur is not good dealer.
see the review of them in mouthshut.com
Vivek did you get your 100% refund for cancelling the booking?
I am sure they made money out of that too...
Hi Guys,
I have booked Dzire with Sai service somewhere in start of may. But before booking itself i was said that i will be having 5-6 months of waiting time for this machine. Also I ahve heard some of you have been charged 100000 for its booking well i was charged 50, 000 for the same. Moreover in first week of june i got call from sai service saying that Dzire has been allocated to me but i declined by myself cos its monsoon and its terrible when it comes to mumbai.
Anyways i find this machine very good although i found rear seats not comfortable for guy like me with height 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 96 KG especially when front seats are fully pulled back.

if any one inhere has performance related idea then please post it as I am dying to know its onroad performance. thanks
hi
which machine model did you book. its not possible to get this machine so soon.
i cancelled booking of this machine and not decided not to go for any maruti machines in my life time.
no customer care
now the dealer is giving the reason that the maruti plant is shut for maintenance till 30 june.
