[Resolved]  Idea Cellular Ltd. — Idea Net Setter very slow

Dear Sir,

I purchased idea net setter connection on dated 7-7-2009 unlimited plan vide connection [protected]. after 2 days i received a message from company that your usages cross the limit and your outgoing have been barred. I was surprised that why my connection disconnect being having unlimited usages plan. I approached continuously to custmer care for reactivation of my card but result fruitless.

The company always quote/ shows that Idea Net Setter high speed wireless internet connection data speed upto 236.8kbps PC but my pc always received data speed less than 1kbps.

Please give me suggesstion how i can recover my money (Data card charges Rs.2490.00) from the company or whom i will approach.

IDEA claims the connection speed to be of 236 kbps (remember its kb/s, not KB/s). The difference between the b and B is 8 times. So, the actual speed is around 30-40 KB/s. Now, you can easily guess what will be the download speed. It can not be more than 20 KB/s. Even BSNL broadband customers do not get download speed of 2 MB/s as claimed by the advertisements. Its around 200 KB/s - 250 KB/s or sometimes 300 KB/s (depending on the speed of the website).

Moreover, if you guys have purchased the device thinking of heavy downloads, audio/video streaming, gaming etc.Then you are definitely going to be disappointed. Its for simple browsing only. That's what you can do over a 2G network. When they convert it to a 3G network, then you can do all those things.

For those who have not yet purchased the device my advice is to open the website http://www.speedtest.net in front of them. It will show you the complete information about the expected outcomes of your internet connection.

As far the tariff is concerned, its too much to charge Rs 930/- (inclusive of all taxes) for an unlimited download at such speed. You will never be able to cross the 10 GB usage with their speed

i am also using idea netsetter for 2 days and getting speed between 2 to 5 kbps and even low with 66% signal strength i am planning to try it for again 7 days and if not satisfied will go to CONSUMER COURT because i know it is use less to speak to poor guys of customer care because they cant to any thing. so people who are dissatisfied consumer court is better option

I have also purchased the Net Setter..What an BAD Idea Sirjiii... from the day i brought it.. its giving me trouble of disconnection and the very very slow speed.. slower than Air tell mobile GPRS speed.. and still Idea is selling this faulty connection and device..and they are fooling the Indian cusotmers.. with fake and speed and services..
So guys who ever is facing the problem with Idea netsetter just surrender it and ask for the full money including device charges.. which is not usefull for any other connection AND if they cant give us the service then they have to return our hard earned money and even the mental stress for using this Net Setter or you can also go to.. Consumer Court.. like I am planning to go..if they do not resolve may complaint in one week..
JAAGO INDIAN JAAGO... No one can fool us.. by selling.. low quality services and products..

've purchased Idea Net Setter high speed wireless internet connection data speed upto 236.8kbps unlimited plan Rs 600 in August'09 and Iam getting internet speed only 1.23 to 4.41 kbps and the worst thing is that sometime the speed of internet in bytes. After several complaints to Idea company no response till date. Please suggest me what to do?????????

tata indicom super zero — outgoing is cut

Outgoing facility of my tata indicom set is cut .when i enquired with customer care, i was told the reason was documents were not recieved by them .But i have submitted all the details on the day i bought the handset.Please check with the retailer and solve my problem

idea net setter is very slow. this server is very bad. don't speed 236.8 kbps. there is no change inspeed of my idea net setter. he's highest speed 10 kbps.
