I am copying the mail I have sent to top authorities of Abn Amro bank. The collection ageny of this bank has been harrasing me for making payments and telling me to beg borrow or steal but make the payment...that too i have never defaulted any payment at all....

I purposely did not reply this mail to show you what kind of harassment is done by your collection agency which is the main reason of my fury with your bank.

Few months back my 2 year old son was hospitalized for serious illness and the expense I incurred drenched all my savings and income, hence I could not pay the monthly amt for the card. Inspite of repeated explanations to your collection team and the inhuman treatment given to me I was forced to lodge a complaint with the nearest police station, can forward you the scanned copy of FIR against Chennai call center lodged at Yelahanka Police station, suprisingly i have never received any call from chennai after that incident. In fact the guy who spoke to me thought i was joking and when i handed the phone to the police officer he abused the police office thinking its a joke. I have the call recording on my mobile, worth listening too !

This time I purposely didn’t make the payment to show you the same treatment. I received a call from your Delhi call center[protected] and spoke to a guy called Ankit Sharma who only believes in getting the amount by hook or crook, he even told me indirectly to beg borrow or steal but make the payment and had absolutely no regards of this mail I had sent to you both recently.

I would now like to tell you that under no circumstances I will make the payment and if you wish please send a legal notice to me. Also do keep in mind if I get these kind of call again you will compel me to take a serious step which will be blow on the image of your company which is about to make a change over ( RBS ).

DO TAKE THIS VERY SERIOUSLY.

ABN AMRO Credit Card — Harassment for payment for charges not incurred by me

I was holding ABN Amro Bank Credit Card 3-4 yrs back, though I have made all my payments on time they have charged me late payment charges. When I spoke to their customer care they informed that they will reverse the same. They also have charged Annual Fees, when their representative have informed that its a Life Time free card without any charges or Fees while issuing the card. I have returned the card immediatly after they have charged the Annual Fees & informed them to deactivate the card & reverse the fees. But still they are calling to make the payment. I am not in India but they are calling my wife and harrasing her for payment. Please advice.

ABN AMRO Credit Card — FORCIBLY ASKING FOR PAYMENT AGAINST WRONG DEBIT

This is with reference to my ABN AMRO Credit card No- [protected], since last four month I have been countinuely getting calls from ABN AMRO Card and everytime someone has been trying to sell me some discount coupons but I always denied. Finally in jan'2009 again I got a call from their side and the executive on the phone told me that if you don't want to buy the coupons, no problem, we will just charge an amount of Rs. 6000/- to your card and will send you only details of our scheme and only when you deposit the payment of your card then only we will send you all those coupons we are offering you and if you do not make the payment of your card as debited by us, we will reverse the debit in the following month and no coupons will be sent to you. On listening all this and to avoid further calls from their side lasting I said OK but I also said that I am not interested to buy any discount coupons nor I will pay for that.

Now I have got my card's statement for the month of March'2009 I am surprised that neither I got my last months statement nor the charges have been reversed. When I contacted to customer care they say you must have to pay atleast Rs. 4000/- and we will send you the coupons when I said all above the person says there is no option for you you must have to pay and she disconnected the phone.

I am surprised by her language and by this type of forcible sell by the ABN AMRO Card. I rarely use my card and since getting made the card last year I have hardly used my card 4-6 time only and I have always made my payments for purchases made by me on time. Inspite of all this I am extremely hurt that a bank can do such a business.

I would like to cancel my above card immediately and would like ABN AMRO officials to reverse the charges debited by them on the ground of false informations and committment with customer.

ABN AMRO Credit Card — Cheated by Misleading

My name is Anil, I am using Abn Amro credit card since last one year. And there was no issues with my transation and the payment. Unfortunately last two months back I used to get a call from telecallers for their make my trip offer. But I was not interested and replied the same to them. As the day rolled these calls are froced me to listen to the offer. That is like they are sending me a wocher of make my trip and informed me that I dont have to spend a single rupee on that and whenever I am planning to go for a trip then I have to Inform the bank then they are going to charge me and they will arrange for activating my woucher and then only I have to pay whichever destination I choose accordingly they give me the offer. But I clearly mentioned them for next one year I dont have any plans. As per telecaller I came to know these woucher will not deduct any ammount from my account and got 8 months validity whenever I am interested then only I can strt using this. Then I am forced to agree. after this even I am not recieved any woucher I got e mail alert from ABN AMRO bank by saying rupees 5000 has been deducted for these woucher. And immediatly I called customer care number and even explaining all these thing they never answered my problem, , , , , I am still expecting their reply for the same.

ABN AMRO — Harresment for payment for no service availed

This is in connection to the ABN Amro Card: No: [protected]. Card Holder Name: P. Haran Kumar.
I had availed this card after huge pressure from ABN sales team on 31 Aug 2005. After availing this card I had never activated or used this card fro any purchase as it was my first Credit Card and I had no specific usage for this card.
Later one of ABN executive had called me over the phone and requested me take a insurance policy attached to this card, after regretting I took the offer and paid 2 months premium of Rs: 250 each, where as after 2 months I had not received the insurance policy and when asked for the same their representative said that they had couriered the same to me, where as I had not received the same till 2006 October, I stopped paying the premium of Rs: 250/-. (Why should I pay premium for the policy which I had not received).
After further enquiries I said I am going to cancel the card and had written a letter to your concern and broken the card and dropped it in ur bank at pune.

It had been 3 years now and after 3 years ABN executive had called me and asked for the payment stating that I have 8000 odd balance to be paid.

Further to add flavor, ABN had marked me as a defaulter in my CIBIL Report.


The Only Credibility Problem I had faced with ABN AMRO, Pls check my track record and Credit record with CIBIL. I am good paymaster apart from your card – where the problem is at the service of your esteemed organization.

Further to my letter dated 7th July, 2009 you have not yet reversed membership fee Rs.595/- charged on 20th June, 2009. It has been agreed by you earlier that nothing will be charged on account of membership fee and you can verify from your records that it has never been charged in the past.

Please also note that in your statement dated 20th July, 2009 you have charged late fee Rs. 650/- and cheque returned fee rs. 500/-. In this connection, please note that my cheque has never been returned in the past which you can verify from your records. But unfortunately this time my cheque has been returned and I failed to understand the reason thereof. However, as soon as I have been informed by you regarding return of cheque, I have made payment in cash on 13th July, 2009 as advised by you.. In spite of assurance from you that nothing will be charged towards return of cheque if I make payment in cash immediately, I was shocked to see that you have charged late fee and cheque returned fee. Please note that my Bank (Central Bank) has already charged cheque returned fee Rs. 100/-. But you have charged Rs. 500/- towards cheque returned fee in an unjustified manner. At the most you can charge Rs. 100/- on this account as other Banks charge.

I also failed to understand that why you have charged cash deposit fee Rs. 75/- . Please note that I personally have deposited cash in your counter at your Brabourne Branch.

If you make unnecessary charges in an unjustified manner as mentioned above, I will be compelled to become defaulter for making payment against you credit card statement.

Under the circumstances, you are hereby requested to reverse the following charges.

ABN AMRO Bank Credit Card — Credit Card Bill

Hello,

I have not received any statements both hardcopy in my home address or on the e-mail since few months and now my card has been blocked by the bank. On calling up the centre first their systems are always down and then after calling repeatedly they say that it is not their mistake that I have not received the bill. They claim that if I dont get the bill on time I should follow up with them for the same. I would like to know of any possible action against this kind of service levels and also harassment. Their is not even a mail sent to let me know that the dues are not paid or the bill has been sent or that the card is being blocked and this is after being a customer for many years without any defaults.

abnamro bank — fake bills of credit cards which i have surender 2 years back

Dear sir/madam
This is to inform you on 3rd nov 2009 i have received a mail from ABN ABN AMRO bank. Where they have attached a credit card bill. Even I can not see the bill amount because I was not having credit card. Last 2 year back i have surrender the credit card and i did all the due payments .immediately with discuss in there call center i have cut the card and putted in the bank.
Now i am not able to understand how this bill can generate.
On 10th November i did the communication with bank. Till date they are bothered to reply, because this is there habit, from this way they earn the money from the peoples.

ABN AMRO Bank — harrassing,misleading,and earning money out of foul way

I Rajiv Bajaj will like to explain of an ordeal faced by me in last four months by abn amro bank. Below is the email i had sent to CGM of RBI in order to get a justice. Plz go through this mail and look into the matter.

Respected sir/ madam,
I ,Rajiv Bajaj,would like to bring in to your notice about an ordeal i m facing from past four months.
I am a credit card holder of ABN AMRO bank from past more than 2 years. But last sept'09 the ordeal started. The thing is I am having to pay an emi of Rs 1847.00. per month to abn amro bank against the draft loan i took from them a year ago. Now its due date comes out to 22nd of every month. In sept'09 i made the payment by cheque of Rs 1900.00 by 20th of that month. Now what do i see that their collection team ,which is situated at delhi and run by an outside agency, stared calling me from the next date of the due date asking me to make the payment in cash since the cheque has got bounced. But i disagreed to pay them saying that without getting any information from my bank i cannot make the payment in cash. The collection agency people were so clever that they took the payment of Rs 1850.00 from my father in cash in my absence as i was out of station.
In the meanwhile i made the transaction of Rs 52000.00 approx. knowing i have made the full payment and i wont charged any interest since my all dues for last month were cleared. Now what could i see in my next statement is there was an interest charges of Rs 1700.00 approx and also a late payment charges of Rs 650.00. The same day i called them about the same thing at their customer care no. 44341111. they said me that they cannot help me in this ,so asked me mail at [protected]@in.abnamro.com to get the retrivel of those charges,since in my opinion these charges were forcibly applied to me. I email them at the given address about the problem and also stating that i will hold the payment untill i dont get any resolve mail from them. I got the reply from them approx 15 days later,exactly on the due date i was having,saying its being my fault they cannot do anything. Now knowing its been totally injustice to me and totally wrong way to earn money out of foul way from the customers.I emailed them again to investigate on it again as there was no fault of mine.
Now from 23rd october ,since the payment was on hold, the outside collection agency started calling me.I made them aware of the issue going through and to please bear with me for the while. But every hour and every next day different person would call me and ask me the same thing.they went to extent to abuse me, not believeing my words,treating me defaulter and many more things.This thing went on for a month, and i cannot explain in words of how much pain i was in during the period,upto such extent extent that i cannot control my tears too.
Now before my 22 november 2009 due date, entered Mr dipankar ghosh ,having its office at trinity tower near topsia,an ABN AMRO bank retail asset division office,in the controversy.He is the collection head of eastern region as said to me by him. After knowing the whole scenario,he assured me to waive off all the charges and asked me to make the payment of Rs 55200.00 in order to close all dues as on 22nd november 2009.Now what i look at december statement ,all the interest charges are still there and upon it more of interest charges have been levied to me.The only thing was waived off was late payment charges.They said me after all the investigation they found that the late payment charges applied to me were found unwanted and hence were waived off.Now explaing them about late payment being credited to my card were totally injustice then how can they charge any interest then. I called up Mr dipankar ghosh again and said of these things.He assured me that these charges wont be there,and asked for little time.
Now with december due date fast approaching i contacted Mr dipankar ghosh again,he said me to make the emi payment of amount Rs 1847.00 which is due every month and assured again of all charges being waived off.This thing continued and continued,the person has same reply again and again.Atlast on jan'2010 due date he denied me of any charges been reversed and asked me to pay every charges and disconnected the line without listening to my words. On the response ,i got infuriated this time and at that moment i was left stranded and felt to be cheated and robbed of money.i was feeling humiliated of why i used the abn amro bank card. So i called him again to know whats the reason he didnt picked the call.I made 40 to 50 calls to him that time,but he didnt replied to me untill the last call. in which we had heated verbal with each other and conclusion being ,that he threatened to me of making me a big defaulter.
Now with all these happening to me, i have started realising that i am on verge of being defaulter,but its not my opnion. I m with no choice to except to go with abn amro banks words pay all the charges which are totally useless and unjustified or to become a defaulter.
But my minds says in order to live life in the name of Rajiv Bajaj and have a good relations with the banks,i have no choice to make the payments. But i have mailed you to make you aware of how banks are making money out of foul way. and its customers who are getting beating at the end.Plz help me in the same since this may happen again to other person.

Yes you are right...the collection department can geta little aggressive due to there hyper levels of testeterones..

I had taken apersonal loan for Rs 50000/- in Dec 2006 . I have been paying EMI of
Rs 2570/-per month ever since without fail .Tenure of the loan was 24 months My
last EMI for RS 2570/- was paid in Dec 08 as full & final payment I have repaid more than Rs 64500/- for the above said loan Ironically the bank is charging late payments for last 7/8 months ie from feb 08 I have time and again asked why this
charge is being levied I was always replied you pl pay monthly EMI do not worry
about this charge .Now for the last 20months I am getting constant calls from various exs from Delhi to pay Rs9829.17 being bal amount payable PL note on
innstence form their ex in March 09 and his request to pay Rs4000/- to settle the
impass I agreed & paid Rs 4000/- on 28/03/09 again I regularly get calls to pay balance .This is pure harresment Pl stp this immediately ,also pl provide detailed statement of a/c as to how come this payment is balance. I am also surprised my Credit card is also blocked from Aug 09

Hi, I am from Chennai and I was using ABN AMRO during 2005 and I paid all balance payments whatever due, but the next bill they charged me the next year Annal fee for Rs.850, but I told them I am going to cancel my credit card and also I was not used that card after that and broken the card and sent back to the bank, after sometime they were keep on sending the statement with interest, late fee charges, sometime back they called me from Pune call center and threading me that your name will be list under CIBIL under defaulter list.

I want know one thing that when the charged for next year annul fee, if i not used the card, do I need to pay that annual fee ?, if not so, why should they threading me ?

Please advice me, now I need to apply a personal loan.

I want to foreclouser my credit card account, but despite of regular request to the customer care officer, no body have turned up till date.
Recently I have applied for the home loan but I was surprise to learnt that my name is published by the ABN in CIBIL defaulter list.
I want to settle it down but I am not getting any response from ABN amro credit card cell.
Pls. help.

I am a customer with [protected] posted a complaint that I have paid every balance and there is no pending amount which I have to pay. But to my surprise I have received a ststement that I have to pay Rs.121.40psand is accumaliting it by levying late payment charges like any thing. It is rediculous to bank with this sort of bank with hostile attitude. Also charged some Rs450.00 stating that I have made a transaction even though I haven't made. These have to be addressed immediately other wise I am left with a solution called legal battle.

The said card was previous settled in 2007 with any settlement amount of 2400/- against the payment of "x" amount, thier has been no foloow up from 2007 or 2008, now you banks people are waked up and are asking for re settlement, on request it was asked to caller shailendra phone number [protected] to check the status and call back after 10-15 day's...he want me to make the payment immediately...why so when the bank has not called or follow up since 2008. and one fine day your representative from delhi called and ask to make payment imeediately ?



The caller who has got in touch with my family member to gather the detail has clled up on residence land line number which is the same from since last 12 years...no call from 2007 and in 2010 called are coming for payment... and the caller shailendra is to be very well taught the etic to speak to ladies at residence, he has used bad words and abused with females at my residence, after getting in touch with me on call for the payment and assuring him for the payment, since i was travelling & not receiving call's, again the guy has called and treated bad with my family members, in the conversaton with me and my family he has repeatedly used the word defaulter for me amd my family ... which is a offence that is what i beleive ... apart fron this all



i am find for the letter and the payment made against settle ment of card earlier, if the said card was settled earlier and this is again the new payment charged... i am going to prosecute it through my lawyer.



Attahed is the payment made through salary account of SBI.

The payment if any was due from my end, i am equally resposible for making the same, but the harresment doe by the caller was to extreme, daily calling up for 10-15 times, it just annoying and disturbing.



Also the authentication of letter was not establised the mail has come from some personal id, nor doe it carry an rbs id or rbs employee code, also state in letter the letter will hold true for 7 days from the isue date, on demanding fresh letter, it was communicated first make payment we will issue fresh letter later...how authentic it is..i don't know.



Also the outstanding on the card when asked for statement, they failed to provide me the statement, also the 7000/- amount is settled on an amount of 3200/- with out my information...whow do i trust that the outstading is 7 thousand and on what ground is the card settled on 3216/- no proof's available...



i don't know ho are you going to take this forward nor am a expecting any thing more than a "zero" statement and a valid letter & noc..



till the time i am not going to get this...the mail will be followed up

I am coping the mail I have send to top south zone officer of ABN bank. The collection agency of this has been harrasing my family members (espcailly ladies) very very bad words and fillthy languages, what kind of harrasment is done by your collection agency which is the main reason at my fury with your bank .

agency person told account closing letter comes through bank within 20 to 30 working days, stillllllll i am waiting for credit card account closing letter

Hi,

To whom so it is concerned, I would like to draw your kind attention why i did not make the payment for the credit card.Reason are given below:
I never receive paper bills of my credit card, not even email statement --> Even after contacting to the customer care, i never got any proper response due to which you keep on added the late payment fees and i never have a idea about my bill
My initial credit limit on my card was around Rs 30, 000 but it was reduced to Rs 1500 with out any prior notice to me. Due to which i suffered a lot.
Steps taken:
I called up services desk and ask them that i never got the bills (email and hard copy). The executive on phone told me that you pay the amount which you have spent, rest amount will be waived off. However this never happen. You keep on adding the late payment fees.
As per the discussion with the executive, i paid the amount which i had spent and that was Rs1500. I had clearly told that executive that time on phone and even executive told me the same thing that what ever the late payment will be that will be waived off. Till this date this never happen and still the bill keeps on increasing which i never never pay.
I asked the executive to stop the card but he refused which again worked against me.
Conclusion : I am not going to pay any amount further. I paid the amount which i have spent what ever the charges are now (Rs 4500) those are only late payment fees which i will not pay as it was your mistake not to provide the bill details. So please can some one waive off the amount which is pending and close this credit card.
