Ahmedabad Traffic Police — Traffic Police Corruption | |||
Yesterday i was Coming from Naroda to Ghatlodia via Kalupur Railway station cross road, i was about to go from Relief road, so i was turning from the cross road. I Just was riding my bike on the right side and because of traffic i slowed it down, one Traffic Police came and told to get my bike in side i followed his order, at the same time another bike riding person came but he was friend of one the the standing traffic police there so he went on the wrong side and started shaking traffic police hand. I was asked to give Licence and i gave it. The told me that you have braked traffic rule, i replied when ? i never crossed in wrong direction ! He replied if i would have not stop you then you would have cross in wrong direction. I said that this is absolutely wrong thing. Then he asked me to give something i replied that i have everything and not even crossed in wrong direction for what i should give ? Then he started to verify my bike properly. He didn't found any mistake so he told me i am taking your licence as you have broken traffic rule. i told no i haven't. Then he told me you have to collect your licence from court i am making receipt and he told me that you will have to give 1000 as fine in court or you give me something here, i was bit scared of all this stuff so i told ok i will give you here. Then he saw 500 Rs note in my Wallet and he told ok give me 500 and go. I tried to tell him that this is too much but he disagreed and went to catch another. Is this Traffic Police Rules ? I have also been through couple of such incidents in my city chandigarh. Traffic police personnels are so much indulged in it that they are ready to let you go for just 20 rupees or lesser. They get paid to maintain traffic rules and regulations. I have seen many incidents, where the cops keep themselves hide under thr tree, and suddenly jumps out when the offence is done. Is it what they are meant for. Last month i was a victim when i was on my way to my institute. A couple of cops around 5, 6 were havin baricades on the road. They asked me to stop, which i did. He then asked for the documents. I showed dem up. My insurance was expired.and he asked me to sort out the matter in 500/-. Which i ws lack in. The shocking part was dat d ASI ranked officer ws at a stone away distance frm us.i ws helpless. Corruption always starts from higher ranks. A low ranked officer will nevr dare to take money.if high rankd officrs are honest wid there work. V really need to look into d matter, to have some break in sch evil practises. Thanks!
Student — Traffic rule
Traffic rules in ghaziabad city are broken widely, nobody want to follow the traffic rule. Thus the accident in the city are increasing rapidly. And the traffic police is not active to implement the rules effective.People must challan when they break the traffic rules.There is no facility to the passengers who waits for the buses.
Lal kuan is the worst palace in the matter of implementation of the traffic rule.
Here in the GHAZIABAD laws are only for showing. NO long term implementation in the laws.
