[Resolved]  Air India Express — NO REFUND YET

Sir,

I purchased 4 tickets for the sector Calicut/Dubai online for my family to travel on 18th February and unfortunately, we were forced to return from the Check-in desk due to my Child's Passport expiry. The whole family's trip were cancelled since we were not in a position to leave this child alone (he is a down syndrom boy) and requested the check-in desk for giving us an opportunity to change the date but refused due to the cancellation policy. Neither the check-in desk nor the Air India Express office at Calicut were helpful and forced us to accept the terms. The following are the details:

PNR: IX11481106
Date of Travel: 18th February 2012
Sector: CLT/DXB


However, I am eligible for the taxes paid and requested refund of the same and several attempt have been made to get the amount but in vein. I have received only one email from them stating as below:

Thank you for choosing to fly with Air India Express.
Kindly note that Change of Booking to another date is permitted up to 12 hours prior to the actual departure time of your booked flight.

Please note that we have sent a message to the airport to confirm that the passenger was ‘No Show’. As soon as they confirm that the passenger had not traveled, we will change the Status/Unblock your PNR so that you can collect applicable refund.

I would like to have your support or intervention to have AED1207.16 as it is nearly six months and no responsibilities seen whatsoever from Air India Express even after my repeated emails to them on several occasion.

Seat reservation

I reserved 14 A for adequate leg space, when I seated it was 14 A but seats are not as exit seat it was normal. The question I paid extra for this seat and it was not the same no one for courtesy explained or applogize. Where and how I can claim this.
