[Resolved]  Airtel — Installation of DTH

Hi,

Out of frustration I am writing about the service provided by Airtel DTH. I had raised a request on 10/04/11 for reinstallation of DTH as I moved to another house. Promptly, I received the following SMS from AIRTEL DTH: "Dear Customer, request no-6811117 for 'Relocation request', 'Happy Code-8KFY. Share code with the engineer once issue is resolved. for any query pls call [protected]"

I was trying to reach the given number for the past 5 days, there was no response. Fortunatly, I called the guy at around 3:00 in the noon. he said, that he would give a call to technician and get back within a minute. There was no response again from him. similarly, I tried reaching him 5 times, he said the same till 8:00 PM. after 8:00 PM, his mobile went off to not reachable.

Its since more than a week, raised a request for relocation of DTH. So far, it has not done. there is no response at all from the service engineer.

I think, I need to take the issue to Consumer Court.

Dear Sir,

I have booked a DTH (HD) connection in the name of Mr. Nikit Butani ([protected]) on 13.11.2010 from the M/S Vandana Communication Bhera Enclave, New Delhi. They have given a time for installation i.e. by 12 noon on 14.11.2010 positively. On 14.11.2010 at 12.30 PM I contacted customer care. They told me that no registration has been received by this office and assured that the same will be installed by evening. At 7.30 PM the DTH antenna was installed but the set - up Box without HD facility was brought at my residence. On enquiring Mr. Gurender Singh, confirmed that the booking is for DTH without HD facility. I was shocked to hear this as I had deposited RS. 1250.00 extra towards the DTH (HD) connection. The installation people told me that the booking will be rectified tomorrow and the same will be installed by 11.00 AM but till now nobody has turned up. On the very first day I am fed up with the Airtel. Kindly look in this matter so that Airtel may not lose other customer as they may face the same problem. Dear Sir,

My Customer ID is [protected]. My connection is not working for last 2 days.I am getting B001 error code. I have registered my 1st complaint (Service request no[protected] on November 27, 2010, customer care executive (Sayantani) told that representative will come 28th November by 3.30 P.M. and he'll solve the problem. But nobody has come. After that I call the customer care again and they have told me that my complaint is closed now and kindly register a new complaint. I got a confirmation SMS also that my problems has been solved. I got a contact no also ([protected] - Global Solution). But the mobile was switch off. Again I have register a new complaint (Service request no[protected] today and they have told the engineer will come tomorrow by 5 P.M.

I asked them if nobody will come to my place by tomorrow November 29, 2010 again then what should I do. But they have no answer.

Everyday Rs. 15 deducted from my balance. Who will pay the money? It is really shame full. I am really fed up and irritated with the service provided by AIRTEL. I never had seen this type of worst service in my life. If after sale service is that much poor then please close your service.

I bought Airtel DTH in October (2 set top boxes; 1 HD & other normal), I opted for South Maga packages for both as free offer for 2 months; it was connected on October 24, 2010.

I deposited Rs 2300 in the account & called[protected] and asked that after the 2 month free period got over, I wnat South Mega pack in the HD (with Tamil & Malayalam as add-on) & South Economy (with Tamil as add-on) in the other.

From the morning of Dec 16, I found that certain channels were not available (Error 4 message on screen). After 2 calls in the morning (getting thro takes at least 5- minutes), some Tamil channels were restored. In the afternoon I found NDTV Profit, CNBC, BBC, CNN & Adhitya were not available. I called the same # again. The 'executive' made me repeat everything & put me on hold for about 20 minutes; after that I disconnected. I called again & insisted on speaking to the supervisor. One Ashish came on line & I had to repeat the story all over again. Since I could not hold on the line, I gave him my (Airtel) cell # & asked him to call me. No reply so far.
I have been using Airtel mobile & Broad band for years & am disappointed with the quality of service on DTH.

I am Unikkat Rajesh kumar and I purchased a new Airtel DTH connection by contacting the Airtel customer care @[protected]Agent Name: Nadeem) on 04-03-11 and I made a payment of Rs 1590/- for the same thru my credit card. I was told that Engineer would call me for installation which has not happened till now. I call up Customer care everyday but after asking all details they put me on hold atleast for 10 mins and later say that they are tranfering the call to other dept. who ask the details again but no solution or any update is provided by the, I am fed up with these guys so I called up the nodal officer @ [protected], he is also putting on hold for sometime and hang up the call. The people of airtel c.care are not professional and they are third class when they speak to the customer. Please advice if there is any other way I can chase or solve this issue.

Airtel DTH — Relocation request pending for more than a week

Hi,

I am Anil and holding Airtel Dth ([protected]) connection since January 2010 in Chennai, now I got relocated to Banglore and I requested for relocation (request No: 5712605) on 04/03/11, and told them that I am vacating the house on 05/03/11, no one came to deinstall it. So I myself deinstalled as we are vacating the house and it may be lost, and went to Bangalore on the same day. I started following up for installation from 06/03/11, and today is 11/03/11, still now no engineer turned up and its really frustration to miss all World cup matches because of these guys negegence. And the most funny part is still I am charged for the connection though I am not using. If someone from Airtel is seeing this, please do the needful before tommorrow match between India and RSA, else I need to go for some other service provider.

if you want to see the TV please do not go for AIRTEL digital TV that is world worst service i ever seen even i agree with Sahmeem,
Better thought the Airtel digital tv setup box and use some other, it better not to loose money atlist in future. This is my own experience I have written so many complaints but they have deleted it.

The actual concern is not listed on 11 March 2011, it is pending from 4 March 2011. Your representative deleted my request created new one on 11 March, for no good reason. Don't you guys think this is taking way too long. I asked for closing my Dth connection to one of your representatives and he replied someone will call me for closing the connection, that didnt happened either. Recent TRAI report shows Airtel tops the list when it comes to receiving customer complaints. I didn't beleive it until it happend to myself now. Now I totally lost my patient after missing half of world cup and really your service sucks.

For those who are wondering about TRAI report, below is the link for that. And now I recommend everyone who are planning for Dth connection dont go for Airtel.

Airtel DTH — Paid service is OUT OF ORDER

My customer ID is [protected] and the services to this id has been not activted till date . After taking a series of follow-up started from 9 of March with the customer request no. 5805770 , 12 of march with request no. 5872093 , 13 of march with request no. 5897972 and 16 of march with request no. 6037502 still no action has been taken till date. It's really dissappointment with the exceutive's and their services who are not responding after registred so many complaint into airtel dish t.v. customer care by us . We received few calls from your exceutive who gave assurance that this problem will get resolved within a day as one of our team member will come down to your place to get it solved but one no came to look into it , Apart from this currently they are not receiving our calls and refused us to register our complain .

Hi Everyone,

Finally the wait is over after I went for Tata Sky connection, and the engineer came and installed new Tata Sky dish and set up box, prompt on the commited time. I will never ever go for Airtel Dth in my life again and I will post this complaint(my panic) on as many blogs as I can.

AirTel — Installation issues not addressed by airtel

From last 2 days I am facing problem on My ATDTV that the error message says “Installation error”
Error code : SM2
I called Customer care and they said that it would be resolved by next day 3 PM but still no one has come to resolve it, I called customer care 4-5 times some says it will automatically gets fixed on turning on the Set Top box for atleast 30 mins. but still not resolved.I need to pay 100Rs to engg.
Why should I pay 100Rs if this is a fault of ATDTV????

From yesterday I called CC 810 Times and every time they says “You will get a call from us in next 1 hour to resolve your complaint” but it never happens.
please add MUSIC INDIA, ZING, AND B4U MOVIES CHANNELS IN 160 RS PACK PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...PLEASE
Please done by Airtel DTH...they are cheaters and install old, used, faulty boxes and then start asking you to pay money to repair the same box...how can a box go down within 3 days of installation...the most pathatic ever compnay to buy anything from...please buy TATA SKY...I used it for 4 years and amazed with their customer service...

AirTel — DTH INSTALLATION

We had a problem with airtel DTH for the past 15 days.We tried calling the support people,but whenever we call them they raise a request and close the request even without solving the issue.AIRTEL service is WORST than any other service.Now we regret for taking Airtel DTH connection.I advice not to go for Airtel DTH connection if you want any.Other than this would be much better I hope.
