[Resolved]  Airtel — Installation of DTH

Hi,

Out of frustration I am writing about the service provided by Airtel DTH. I had raised a request on 10/04/11 for reinstallation of DTH as I moved to another house. Promptly, I received the following SMS from AIRTEL DTH: "Dear Customer, request no-6811117 for 'Relocation request', 'Happy Code-8KFY. Share code with the engineer once issue is resolved. for any query pls call [protected]"

I was trying to reach the given number for the past 5 days, there was no response. Fortunatly, I called the guy at around 3:00 in the noon. he said, that he would give a call to technician and get back within a minute. There was no response again from him. similarly, I tried reaching him 5 times, he said the same till 8:00 PM. after 8:00 PM, his mobile went off to not reachable.

Its since more than a week, raised a request for relocation of DTH. So far, it has not done. there is no response at all from the service engineer.

I think, I need to take the issue to Consumer Court.

I, p.s. sundaravaradan bought airtel dth with recorder as its packages are cheaper to me (I am already having TATA SKY and having very good quality pictures)and installation done on 6-3-2011. id. no.[protected], from day one I have problem viewing channels because of overlapping of clolours at regular intervels. I made many number of calls to customer call and their mechnic visited twice and replaced HDMI cable. but of no use. they could not find what the fault .Now I want the set top box be replaced as early as possible as i am unable to view any channels at a stretch as it is very glaring and overlapping. I am very much disappointed with the sercvice airtel dth providing and they are not having technicians who could locate the problems as they are all at sea when problem arises. I wish i will not recommend anyone going in for Airtel DTH for worst service

I lost all my hopes and TRUST with Airtel DTH after daily following up with your 24X7 customer support. Even I spoke to your supervisors couple times but NO LUCK. If you want you can refer my customer record for all the details, how many days I am having this problem and how many times I called you guyz.
The most pathetic part is I used to get SMS messages saying "Your problem has been resolved & closing the issue". When I contacted customer support about these SMSs, they simply say SORRY about that and will raise a new request giving ETA as 6PM of the same day, and as I expected learnt from these many days of experiences, the same story will repeat. What a CRAP it is. Really!! Really!! sick of its service from the most respected AIRTEL.
The only reason these many days I bear with this was, I am very old and happy Airtel postpaid & Broad band user amazed with their quality of services.Other wise I should have been throw this DUMMY piece after seeing these kind of things.
It was very fortunate that I heard same kind of experiences from many of my friends/colleagues with AIRTEL DTH, who are moved to other proivders and enjoying even after loosing their MONEY with AIRTEL considering NO PAIN.

in a hurry, forgot to mention about interesting episode with the backend team(thats how they call it)

it took for me 15 days to get to know about the actual issue(sattelite has been changed) after my daily job of calling airtel people. Some technician visited my home and told the dish has to be moved to a place where it can find the signal from the new sattelite and somebody will come and do that. Waited for a week for that SOMEBODY. Finally one more technician came and surprisingly told the same words. I told him about the same thing happend with other guy, this guy very honestly told if no body comes by tomorrow, some how he will only fix it. Thats it disappear and no response to my calls.

When I called to customer care and explained about this episode, same SORRY saga begins and a fresh complaint raised repeating same boring words. They told this time they are sending emails to the concern area managers escalating my complaint. What a service, hatsoff to AIRTEL !!!

My name is Koteswara Rao and I have been using Airtel DTH for 8 months. My Customer ID is [protected]. I took Airtel Dth connection in Chennai. 4 weeks back I got transfer from Chennai to Hyderabad. So I called the Airtel DTH people on 17th April 2011 and asked them to come to home on 27th April 2011 for de-installation and re-installation of Airtel Digitel TV. The Request No is 7393515. They said OK. But no one came to my home on that day. I keep on called them.I waited two days, but no use. For this reason, I called the some local guys to remove my umbrella.
Again I called the Airtel DTH people and asked them for re-installation in hyderabad. At that time they were talking about the de-installation. I told them like no one came to my home and I requested them like atleast try to come to Hyderabad on time to install the Airtel DTH.
They said ok and took the new request id: 7607272. I came to Hyderabad on 4th May 2011 and called them. Still no one came to my Home for installation process. So many times I called the customer care people, but they didn’t respond. Some guys are lifted my phone and cut again without intimate. Even if I ask anyone to connect the senior management, they said ok and put me hold 15 to 20 mins. This was happened me twice in a couple of days.
Finally I called on 12th April 2011 asked for the reason, they simply disconnected my service.
Can you please help regarding my complaint.

I am from Bangalore and I want to bring to your notice the problems I am facing from Airtel DTH since last few weeks.
I had opted for Airtel DTH service some 4 months back and everything went fine till 2 weeks back.
I opted for FOOD FOOD channel addition which required dish allignment by technician.
The technician came on 9th May and did some allignment and charged Rs 100 for the job although it was told to me that the service was free.
After the allignment happened, most of the regular channels stopped coming.
Either the channels were blacked out with no signal displayed or some pixaleted images were coming.
I made repeated calls to Airtel Customer support starting from 10th May to send a person again for rectifying this issue and add the necessary channel but no action has been taken till date even though the customer care assured me of quick rectification. Even I sent sms to Add FOOD as well as HELP to 54325 but nobody turned up to rectify the issue. I regularly get sms that we apologise for delay in attending service and blank calls from [protected] which I pick up and no one speaks.
On saturday 14th May, I called up customer care and repeated the problem for the umpteenth time.
He said the allignment has been physically done but technically not done.
He assured me that everything will be fine in 30 mins.
After 30 mins, all the channels stopped working with error code SM2 and B001.
Again when I contacted customer care, they said, an engineer will come to resolve this problem.
They gave me various timings first saturday 6 pm, then sunday 10 AM, then sunday 6 PM.
Till today no technician has even bothered to call up and find out about the problem and address.
My set is lying dead since last 3 days and no channel is available.
Now when I call up customer care, nobody picks up the call, they simply disconnect.
I have paid more than Rs10000 for the set top box and taken 1 year subscription and I am not being able to view any channel.
Customer care is not at all helping.
I request you take immediate action to attend the problems I am facing.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Paid money 4 weeks back, no connection yet, PATHETIC Service after taking money

I made payment for HD with Recorder connection more than 4 weeks ago. After few days, an installation engineer came and said the connection might not be possible due to building orientation and he advised installation can be done only on the roof.
I was told by my apartment management that others in my building have connection and asked to talk to Airtel again, I gave a call to Airtel and told them about the situation they said they will send another installation engineer, that's my complaint/case number 1, I got a call from an engineer a few days later, he said he will be at my place at xyz time, he never turned up.
I gave a call to Airtel, told them the what happened, complaint 2 was raised, nothing happened for a few days.
I gave a call again, complaint 3, everytime you raise a complaint an SMS is sent, a few hours after this complaint was raised I received an SMS (as if congratulating) that the issue is resolved although nothing was done about that complaint.
Next day call Airtel again, tell them the story so far, complaint 4 was raised, again, after some time, comes SMS saying my complaint was resolved.
Next day call Airtel, tell them story so far, complaint 5 was raised, after sometime, SMS stating my issue was resolved.
Call Airtel, complaint 6, this time SMS stating the issue was resolved wasn't there, instead I got a call apparently from an engineer, he asks if I am having signal problem, I say, I don't yet have installation, he say's, "ic, my manager asked me to look into signal problem, I am sorry, bye bye", he gives his manager's number and hangs up. I try to call that number several times, no answer.
Call Airtel, complaint 7, unhappy with the representative, I request to connect my call to manager, manager promises to resolve the issue in 24hrs, as usually I get SMS that complaint was registered, manager calls up after a few hours and takes address. After couple of days I get SMS stating engineer will be at your place sometime May-27-2011. No one shows up.
May-28-2011, call Airtel, told story to the representative, he asks me to wait, after waiting for a minute call gets disconnected.
Call Airtel again, tell story to representative, I express my unhappiness, she says she will look into arranging for a engineer asap, asks me to wait, call gets disconnected.
Call Airtel again, tell story to representative, again, he wants to take time to look at my record, this time luckily the call doesn't get disconnected (yet), he asks, which connection do I want, that shows unfortunately he hasn't looked at my record (which should show I made payment more than 4 weeks ago for HD with Recorder connection), I tell him, bhayya, I already chose and paid for the connection, he talks something and then call gets disconnected.

From my colleagues, I heard reports of bad customer service with some other operators, but unfortunately one more operator makes into that horrible-providers list (meaning one less operator to choose from) PATHETIC.
They r theives of the 1st order, b****s have outsourced all activities, please be beware of them as they will take your for a ride post pucrhase. Once they take the money after they behave like conmen, literally disappear. Some fool sitting at a call center which is also outsourced will just keep on speaking one lie after the other. My strong recommendation not to buy airtel DTH, specially from this buch of theives called as Vriti Infocom in Noida

My a/c no. is [protected] and from last two days my set top box is not working. Even power indicator is not working. Tried to contact costumer service[protected] but the call keeps getting hanged on, so called quits. Kindly do the needful immediately. Today I was finally able to contact costumer care at 1.00PM and they gave me a complaint number 8734660. I was assured of resolution by 6.30 PM of 05/06/2011. I even got an SMS with a "Happy code" and was asked to call [protected]. No resolution as expected, tried to contact [protected]..."No. not reachable". The supposed "24 X 7" costumer care
at [protected] also does not operate after 5.00 PM, as I was unable to talk to any human after listening to IVR music for long time. Does Airtel exist as a company or everybody has left it for the good? anyway thanks to many companies in market, I would have the opportunity to use services of other DTH operators now!...Isko laga dala ...ab hone do airtel ka zinga lala!"

I had purchased a new airtel HD DTH connection from on 29th May from Central bellendur, bangalore. I must tell you that the service is really pathetic. No one from airtel bothered to call me for installation in the last 10 days. There customer centre is a serious pain. called them 4 times in the last days which resulted in production of one complain number after the other.

Finally after lot of escalation, one representative from airtel gave me a call today (7th June) and assured that they would do the installation by 10:30am. i waited for there representative till 11:15am and also called them 14 times, but as usual no one bothered to pick up the call.

Guys, i recommend you not to purchase Airtel DTH connection. Be assured that your life will become messerable after that. Moreover you would be treated like a football and would be told to co-ordinate with all the departments possible.

My DTH System is not working for last 5 days, shows error code B001.
I am raising complaint daily to customer care. They tolled me, the request has been forwarded and service engineer will approach you for rectification of problem, but all in vain. pl. do the needful.

Dear, I have been using airtel dth for more than 2 years but the service provided by you so poor and of a low quality your consumer care contact numbers do not function or it seems they dont want to function the call centers are worst than your service. My stb is not functioning properly for more than 3months and i have been complaining repeatedly but no response. If we all need to do away with one service provider it has to be Airtel, I really dont understand how watching TV used to be such a pleant experience to what it is becoming now after taking AIRTEL DTH.

Airtel — Airtel Digital installation not done after purchase of 21 days.

Hi Sir/Ma`am,
I have purchased the Airtel digital TV on 28/05/2011 through my Citibank credit card. The airtel customer care executive promised to provide the connection with 24 hours but until today 18/06/2011 NO installation has been done. I have called about 20 times and everyday Customer do the fake promises every time. I have requested them to refund my amount if they can’t provide the connection.
I am really surprised to see this kinds of behavior form such big company. Airtel digital tv, literally cheating the people.

some body damnage this DTH with sending e-mails to all the friends and asking them to send to others.

Very poor servise and Hedech Provided by Airtel DTH

On 11th July 2011 I have discontinue English News Topup from my account page but till now this channel available on my account after that I make a call to Customer care and request him (12th July 2011 at 01:13pm) to discontinue this English news Topup, after some time I saw my English Movie Topup not visible in my TV, then I make a Call to Customer care and they told me unfortunetly this Topup package deleted from my account and if require then re-purchase this Topup. My question is I have purchase this English Movie Topup from special offer and now this offer closed so why I repurchase this topup in new price?



I want this special Topup because Without my confirmation this Topup deleted by Airtel Customer care Executive from my account.
