Airtel-Prepaid Blacberry Activation.Please do not subscribe any plans at this moment.They are having some server issues and thousands of customers cheated there request for service subscription accepted and they are not able to use services.I will keep this forum updated when this get resolved for me.My 900 bucks gone and waiting for this up and running..cannot use email or blackberry app anything :-(.Nightmare experience w my first blackberry phone..
I am also facing the similar problem My 900 Buks are gone and the services are not yet been activated and i am not getting any satisfied answer from the customer are department they are just reading the scripts that have being given to them and on asking the customer care representative are you satisfied with the answer that you are giving the the response is no so how an the subscriber be satisfied Please Help to get out of this nightmare as there is on to human to hear the complaint it seems that i am talking to robots on the other end of the phone

I am goin through the same problem since 18th of December.. have done everything from my side. Airtel customer care are just useless.
If you really are concerned about your customers then atleast get back to them & answer their questions. this is the 1st ever network i have experienced that seriously has no concerns towards their customers.
Save some funds and make you service better instead of giving it to Shahrukh khan & fooling others.
Airtel Should start the blackberry service ASAP . otherwise airtel will be no where. i am also been trying to activate the blackbery 899 plan on airtel prepaid, but i am not able to do so, i tried to contact the nodal officers number, but you can never contact to that number. they are fooling around people
I Have A Blackberry 9630, i want to activate airtel bb service but it says that it is my handset is not comaptible.
I really need to know what the real problem is.

i am agreeing to this as I was asked airtel customer care for mms facility they have asked me to activate blackberry services after activating now also i am not getting mms.. for this i called 121 n they are telling call 12118 then they said call 9845907070 then again tell call 121... they are now not picking the call of 121 and my call goes to a automatic answering machine and it get disconnected... they are making me fool...

please dont buy blackberry phones... its useless if this service providers do this type of mischief things... so please dont buy or if u have dont call them n waste the time as this people are cheaters...
I am facing the same problem. They could not activate bb service on my prepaid. The tehnical team is as clueless as ever. I remember one lady from technical team suggesting me to chnage to post paid (i have a feeling that Airtel is trying to dissuade the prepaid customer from using bb sevice). But i agree that due to this problem Airtel has lost its brand value for me. I will never use any Airtel service ever and will suggest others not to. I have some amount left on my prepaid number, as soon as that gets over I am going to swithch to vodafone as i alredy have one number from vodafone but i use my iphone on that.
the most appaling of all problem is the clueless support team. i have only one word for airtel 'disgusting' .
I too face this problem and purely AirTel lying to lure money from the customers i guess. Before buying this mobile i am contacting the 121 and to the blackberry department 7070 and inquired.
They said once i use the blackberry phone and send some sms with enough balance the service will be activated.
but after spending Rs.14, 500/- for a blackberry handset and Rs.1000/- for a recharge when i contacted them, they are telling that prepaid blackberry system in failure and they don't know when it will be activated. When i surf i find lot of people are suffering more than 2+ months.
So i feel no fresh activation is taking place and purely when ever some one calls them they are keen on collecting the money i guess.
AirTel be responsible for customers. with our support only you have grown to this heights and main share for u comes from the prepaid department.
Respect us first before looking ur postpaid.
If they had say BB only for postpaid, i would put hold the use of blackberry at the moment i would have gone to some other smartphone or else to a other options. but after spending Rs.1000/- to them if i go for a postpaid i will loose my money .
So who is responsible for the losses ??? Here many people have lost their money. AirTel Part we have a executive here to answer the issue.

I am too suffering as i am associated with absolute disgusting telecom provider Airtel...i was using N97 and i changed to blackberry for official purpose...but in vain.
As per their instruction everything was done as per the procedure and now they say that they are facing some problem with the prepaid server and they have no clue whatsoever how much time would they take to resolve the whole issue
Its absurd after deducting the amount from my account they haven't started my blackberry services yet.Further more in their blackberry service department when i asked to put me to some head or a manager, very surprisingly same executives comes on line pretending to be the head...
Its absolute crazy, Bad network, and absolute pathetic responses from customer care...
I suggest not to use this provider at all..as they dont pay a heed to their customer's need..
I would be changing my provider soon..cause with Airtel i can never get my blackberry services started.
i agree for each single word has telling about AirTel, they are very bad in service ive went to airtel showroom and they told me to call 121, as you all i called 121 but they sent me 7070, but when i call 7070 they told me to top up with 900INR as you all again i top up 900 but when i did that they asked me to change my number to postpaid!! so whats this non since after i paid 900 they telling me this!!! swear god they are cheaters cheaters cheaters.. cause they could have tell me before i top up there is a problem with BB service... anyhow i discovered AirTel the worse telecome in India, guess Aircel is better cause am using BB service by them connection and everything is fine...
airtel is cheating people with black berry. they also deduct money from account but doesnt activavte the service. funniest thing is when we call them they charge for calling their nodal center which also is pathetic
