I had shifted my residential premises and requested for connection to be relocated. Airtel did honour that in a few days time after receiving all documentatins. Unfortunately since 6 months i had been trying to get the address changed so that i can receive bills on time and nothing happend. I escalated to their escalation dept., but everytime it was a blanket promise that the bills will reach the same day and apologies... frustrated i disconnected. On top of this after disconnection, i got the bills and the courier representative was showing faces to my family which is the most irritating part. If companies cannot take care basic address update i wonder how they will handle technical problems!!!! God Bless Airtel!! Was this information helpful? | |

This is an ongoing issue with Airtel...
I have disconnected the broadband connection long back due to the issue I had with the payment.
Last week I got a call from a Lady from Airtel and she said she is Keerthana from Chennai office.
Again I had to tell all the story from last 8 months and she said I need to pay only 2500/- the remaining amount will be waived off. This week I got a message from Airtel saying that if I want to reactivate my account give a call. So I called them and I had to tell all the same story and that lady said this would be like a new connection and regarding old payment the concern team will call you.
I got the connection on Saturday and Sunday morning I got a call from Keerthana for the old bill payment.
So based on her confirmation I have paid 2500/- cash on Sunday to the representative who came to my house and collected it.
Monday morning I got a call from another Airtel representative asking me to pay the remaining 2500/- which was due in the old bill. I was shocked to hear this and I told him what had happened and he said nothing is updated in the system like this and I need to pay the money.
I want few things to be very clear.
1.I WILL NOT PAY ANY MONEY FOR WHICH I HAVEN’T USED.
2.THIS WAS NOT MY FAULT IT WAS ALL BECAUSE OF AIRTEL.
3.I HAVE RECORDED ALL THE CALLS WHICH I HAVE RECEIVED FROM THIS LADY KEERTHANA.
4.IF THIS ISSUES IS NOT SOLVED BY END OF TODAY I WILL HAVE TO GO TO THE CONSUMER COURT AND FILE A CASE.
5.I DON’T WANT A CONFIRMATION MAIL/CALL SAYING THAT THIS ISSUE WILL GET SOLVED WITHIN 48 HOURS.
I WILL NOT PAY ANY SINGLE RUPEE AND I DON’T WANT THE CONNECTION PLEASE DEACTIVATE IT.

Airtel Broadband — Airtel billing even after disconnection of broadband
I had disconnected my Airtel broadband connection no.[protected] in the month of Oct 2012, with all dues cleared. The reference number for disconnection is 23724620. Airtel has been billing me even after disconnection and now sending me SMS and am getting calls from the customer care center to clear pending bills. Inspite of explaining them about my disconnection and the reference number they are asking me to settle the bill amounts which is Rs.1000 and odd. I am appalled by the unprofessional and callous attitude of the company. They do not have a proper system in place to make sure that if a connection is terminated the system should not generate bills. This is cheating and I would like the forum to look into this and take appropriate action against the company.With concern,

I purchased a Internet connection with wifi system in spite of paying all amount they are not ( air tel Internet system Nizam peta road) provided me the wifi system till today. paid the amount on[protected],

Airtel Broadband — No response from Airtel over reallocation of Broadband connection
I have raised a request to re-allocate the Broadband connection to my new address on 2nd Oct. They had provided a request ID:[protected]. Every time when I call to Customer care, they reply that, within 2 hours, I will receive a call . I have been waiting for the third time and no one has called yet.This is quite irritating now.
