[Resolved]  Airtel — Customer service

I have 2 airtel digital connections, have paid the money but account does not show credited. I have called the customer service, its a night mare. Trust me

This is what happening with airtel. The issue is not resolved but airtel customer care people are closed the issue.Surprising thing is here no body contacted us till 30th even from Escalation desk.Finally we have lost hope on airtel and arranged local engineer and we paid him the extra money. We feel that instead of calling to customer care, we could have contacted this local engg.. we could have saved the money incured for that.More over for 3-4 days we were waiting for airtel engg which was comitted by customer care people which got waste.This is where we got irritated.Waited patiently for so many days..but no we don't like airtel. If we get any chance to change the service provider, we are ready to move out of airtel...My comment might be single..but like me so many people already posted their comments about airtel...which is true...true true...No more airtel...

Airtel — Airtel number sending me threatening messages

the number [protected] has been disturbing me for the last 5-6 days, sending me threatening messages. the caller has very detailed information about me....and is threatening to kill me. please provide me the details of the person using the above number, as i think i know him....because he knows a lot about me.

I had a complaint regarding airtel customer care,i try to connect them as many time as i can.....but they are not responding, such a cheat company,i thought it is one of the best service provider,but now it is going bad to worse...really. I have prepaid number and i don't know why my balance got auto diminished day by day without doing any calls,any msgs...than i got to know that how Mr.Bharti Mittal has earn so much money,by cheating people of our nation.

Really annoying,pathetic service.

I have switched from wonderfull services OF VODAFONE to PIG AIRTEL (UNFORTUNATELY) after me switching i have really faced an horrible problem from airtel customer care i tell AIRTEL CCS is really piece of an all working people customer care excutives are trained like buffaloes ha ha I LOVE VODAFONE.AIRTEL might be good for service and network but VODAFONE is best for customer satisfaction i think consumer support should take an action against AIRTEL network

I am a customer of Airtel DTH. My customer id is[protected].The installation was done by AIRTEL all in a hurry with no proper tools .The signal is disappearing every now then and it is so difficult and cumbersome even to make a complaint.The local persons do not pay any attention and direct the customer to make the complaint at the call center which wastes at least 100 attempts with no response or result.My personal check up of the installation reveals that the disc is fixed with only one bolt and this is probably the cause for the problem as the disc gets disturbed with slight wind.How long should I suffer for this bad installation and still go on paying your monthly charges even without getting uninterrupted signal?
Recently, you announced a bonus of Rs. 40 on recharge of Rs. 410.I paid this after confirming from your local dealer that I shall be getting this bonus as announced by you.However, to my surprise my account balance does not reflect this. I complained to the local dealer(VEDOMS, Dharampeth, Nagpur, 440010) who simply turns a deaf ear.
Can you take a note of the above and take needful steps, or should I just quietly repent for choosing AITEL DTH.

i am a airtel customer since 2 years.my customer id is [protected], the connection is registered on my name i.e VARUN SACHDEV.in these 2 years i have faced severaal issues regarding the service given by airtel digital tv.firstly, after purchasing the connection, i had to change my location, to relocate, i had to call many tyms, atlast, when the executive came, he demanded me rs 500 for relocating.when i enquired with the customer care, i was told all da the charges will be deducted from my a/c.then complaned about the executive who demanded money, again, i had to go a long process n had to call multiple types, atlast the same executive was sended, this type he dint demanded money, but he jus disconected n just threw my dish on the door, regarding which i again complained.then afta relocating, i had to call again, n again the same executive was send to refit the kit.again he demanded me money and i again rejected.he left then, after he went, the channel quality was good, but after 3 days, i found the same executive in my building, he came to fit someone elses connection, and just did some malfunctioning with my dish, to which my channel quality was again affected.for which i again registered a complaint, then another executive came to set the dish after 3 days, it took me around 20 days, just for relocation of connection.

now, around a month back, a again called on customer care number, to add a few new channels, for which i was told, that the dish has to be again set to some new satellite, again a executive came, and again he demanded me money, to which i rejected.again the same process repeated, again he came in my society, n again he did sumthing with my dish, i came to know that he came in my society by checking the society entry register.
again i complained about it afta a week, my complained was registered, i was given a date and time, bt no executive was send.today i had called the customer care number 4th time, n i m again given a new date, a new time, n m sure, if by chance a executive comes, he will again demand me for money.
i am just fedup by airtel digital tv.the custmoer care is not ready to take any strict action, when i ask to transfer my call to their superiors, m being kept on wait for atleast 20 mins, and then the call gets disconected.
now if i wont b getting proper service within 2 days, would prefer to dumb my set top box n dish. so please mail a address on which i can parcel ma set top box, because i cant tolerate more humilitation, just for a box worth 2k.
i would prefer to change my service, and would also recommend everyone, NOT TO GO FOR AIRTEL DIGITAL TV CONNECTION.,

Airtel DTH — Airtel DTH - Are you really serving the customers?

I really doubt whether Airtel DTV is serving their curstomers.Below is my experience -

Ref: Customer Id # [protected], Date of booking: 23/May/2011, Date of Installation: 24/May/2011, Date of Re-Installation: 25/May/2011

From the very first minute/day of installation B&W with very POOR QUALITY PICTURE is displayed. On 25/May/2011 itself, I did call Airtel helpdesk & reported that picture is shown in B&W and the quality is also poor. I am being assured that a service engineer will fix the problem the very next day. Till now 4 times service engineer did visit my place & none of them can fix the issue. Everyone says TV has some problem, fact is I am able to see video/photographs using the same AV port on the same TV.

And also, I did select South-Telugu package, but it is not provided to me. Instead they gave me Kannada package.

When I did request to upgrade my connection to HD, they are charging me so much amount, saying I am a existing customer & upgrade can be done by paying that much huge amount only. I am really not sure how come I am can be treated as a existing customer - whereas from the very first day 'I am asking for cancellation of the connection'.

I am totall FRUSTRATED in calling & e-Mailing the helpdesk guys explaining the same story again & again. ARE YOU REALLY SERVING YOUR CUSTOMERS???

HI friends,

few moths ago i lost my sim card. i contact airttel office. They are told "pls contact our customer executive". i contact executive and told my problem. he was ask some data's like which number you have to use mostly? your sim card validity? and proof address?
i gave all data's properly but he asked me your address is wrong and your datas are rong and he did not consider my side explanation. Big notable thing is he asked me my proof address is wrong. few months i buy a duplicate sim card using this proof but today he asked does not match proof address. how it is happen? they don't give proper explanation for me?
where to complaint?
so my friends airtel could not maintain customer details properly.

My name E.Selvakumar from Tamilnadu, i am using Airtel Past 5years and my number in [protected] and past 20 days i have purchased one new number from Airtel and that number is [protected] and at that time i have given all the record what ever they asked, But suddenly without informing they have cut Outgoing calls we do no what is the reason.I asked the people where i purchased they told for address proof they have cut, so what i have given all the records correctly because in my family we are using Airtel 7-numers if this problem continue we disconnect all th eAirtel number and we will go for any other Mobile services in our Place.
My customer care service is stopped every now & then by your executives. I want some information from your side then how should i take it. Even complaint number is blocked.

The problem is not solved/fixed yet.

It is very frustrating to receive such a reason from your service engineers instead of fixing the problem.

* * * For Airtel DTH only my TV is showing the poor picture quality :) * * *

Whereas the same TV is giving me the 100% quality picture through ALL the input ports(AV1/AV2/USB/etc) when tried with some other DTH providers & some other AV devices too.

You may need to train your service engineers on how to fix the problems.
I do not want to waste any of my phone expenses in CONTACTING YOUR HELPDESK, NONE OF YOUR SERVICE ENGINEERS CAN FIX THE ISSUE. Please ask your service engineers to stop MISS-GUIDING the customers.

Now I MAY NOT SUGGEST ANY OF MY FRIENDS OR RELATIVES TO BUY YOUR PRODUCT instead I WILL STOP THEM.

on 26th of august my airtel digital dth signal automatically got lost. i registerd a complain through customer care services and it is said that it will be rectified with in 5 days. but neither i intimated by the company nor my dth connection got resumed. so at last i had to rectify by the local agent and had to pay Rs 150. this is really disgusting dueto the bad sevices of the fellow company
should get the response as early as possible

I made the payment on 4th Nov 2011 around 1.00 pm through cash (executive), on the same day in evening around 5.00 pm i got a message from Airtel DTH that my installation will be done on 5th nov around 10.00 am...
On 5th Nov as usual no one shows up, I called Airtel customer service around 5.00 pm in the afternoon and was said that i'll have to wait for 48 hours after the payment...
I called up again on 6th nov and nobody is ready to take this problem and all of them tried to disconnect the call, One of the executive (trimurti) was trying to be rude and later he also disconnected.
All this time my temper was very calm taking to the customer service.
Now on 7th Nov i called up again and (bharti) executive took a complaint and now she says i'll have to wait for another 24 hours to get this complaint resolved..
What kind of Customer Service is this.?
They called me again and again during the time of the payment...once i made the payment nobody is bothered about the installation....

Airtel — No way to speak to an actual person in the customer care

Dear Sir,

My sim got PUK locked. And in discussions forums i saw that if you send PUK <space> num to 121 airtel will send you the code to unblock the sim. Without this code, sim becomes completely unusable. But after doing what is instructed, i did not get the puk code. It just sent an automatic reply to getting the balance of the phone.

So i have been trying to reach a person in airtel to talk to. But the customer care number gives no option to speak to a real person. All they do is give machine calls. And i have got so frustrated. What should a customer do if he has an issue that needs speaking directly to someone.

This is such a frustrating situation. Kindly do the needful dear sir. If there is a number that airtel allows a customer to speak directly to someone, ask them to put in a place in their website where everyone can see it. Are they doing it because of the huge amounts of complaints they recieve for their service.

I am customer of Airtel DTH service and my customer ID is [protected]. I logged the complain for no signal on 7th Nov 2011. Till today i.e. 12th Nov 2011 nobody has called or provided the service. On 12th Nov 2011 I have called the customer care 4 times without much help. They can't even connect to their senior as it seems they are always busy. If this is their service, I would like to terminate my connection and get refund.
