[Resolved]  Airtel — Cancel my airtel postpaid connection

Hi sir,

I have been using airtel post paid connection till dec 2008, as i planned to move to u.S.A, i requested to cancel my connection in airtel customer care center( indira nagar, bangalore) on 11 on dec 2008, but it was not canceled and i was receiving bills and i could see that the connection is still in active state. I raised a complaint about this on 3 of feb 2009, to the customer care center, somebody named sathish from cancellation department told me that it would be canceled within 24 hrs. On 12 march 2009 i saw that it was still active, so i called up the customer care on the same day, they told me to clear the outstanding, which i was not at all using still i cleared on the same day through online payment and the call was transferred to same person satish from cancellation department, he regretted for the inconvenience and again told that he would ask the concern department to cancel it and he assured that it would be cancelled within 24 hrs. It was deactivated the next day, however i could see it active state now on 24th of march. Now i am staying in nashua u.S.A and i will not be able to use the sim card nor talk to the customer care, i kindly request you to cancel my airtel postpaid connection immediately.

Please help me out in this regards. It has been very frustrating for me to go over this.

Consider this as my authorization to cancel my connection and please cancel my connection immediately and deactivate my sim card.

Cancellation of Airtel Postpaid Connection

Hello,

Even I have been facing the same situation and unable to disconnect my Airtel Postpaid Connection. I have been to the Airtel Office several times and they have given me a customer care number (198) to disconnect my connection, but still all my efforts are in vain.

Kindly close my Airtel Postpaid connection. My number is [protected].

I am not staying in india for almost 3 years.I asked for the deactivation when i came back to india since i was paying the bill without any usage which is near about 500 INR/Month for almost six months.

I called up customer care and requested. They said retention team will get in touch with me in 24hrs. For weeks, they didnt bother to call. Whenever i called to check the status, the rep said they tried to call but my number was not switched on. I was keeping it on for the same purpose and couldnt understand why airtel do this.

The last " customer care" executive told me that they normally take a weeks time since they do not want to disconnect easily. if i am not extending my stay in india, i will have to pay the bills indefinitely. Wonderful service and attitude.

If you guys are looking for 500 /month, i am planning to disconnect all my airtel connections including another post paid and DTH by going to a airtel store even if it costs me more than 10k at least to travel to bangalore.

On 6 July 2015 i saw that it was still active, so i called up the customer care on the same day, they told me to clear the outstanding, WHICH I WAS NOT AT ALL USING still i cleared on the same day through online payment and the call was transferred to same person satish from cancellation department, he regretted for the inconvenience and again told that he would ask the concern department to cancel it and he assured that it would be cancelled within 24 hrs. It was deactivated the next day, however I could see it active state now on 22 July 2015. Now i am staying in Delhi and i will not be able to use the sim card nor talk to the customer care, I kindly request you to cancel my airtel postpaid connection immediately.

I have been using airtel post paid connection ([protected])till July 2015, as i planned to move to U.S.A, I requested to cancel my connection in airtel customer care center( Bangalore) from sept 2015, but it was not canceled and i was receiving bills and i could see that the connection is still in active state. Somebody from cancellation department called and told me that it would be canceled within 24 hrs. after 24hrs i check status by sending message and i got message it is deactivated, again On 20 oct 2015 i saw that it was still active, so i called up the customer care on the same day, no response from them, I kindly request you to cancel my airtel postpaid connection immediately.
