[Resolved]  Airtel — No Objection Certificate Not Received

I had taken up a wipro cooperate postpaid connection with Bharti Airtel Ltd. Mobile number [protected] Account number:[protected] Customer name. Siddarth Sharma (my brother). Around May this year while making a payment by Debit Card at Airtel Ltd. Outlet at Lajpatnager the money was transferred to some other customer’s account which took about 2 months to be resolved. I had to call Airtel Ltd. Customer Care (if I can say it is Care) almost everyday to query about the progress. During this period I was called many times to make the payment which I had already done and every time I had to explain the person who called what was going on. In the end I had no other option but to change the Service Provider.

I had about Rs. 3000.00 outstanding which I was not willing to pay due to the reason mentioned above.

One day toward the end of July one of my friend received a call from a lady named Puja Sharma (I don’t know if this is the lady’s real name or not) who told her that she was calling from some currier service and that my brother’s bank document was returned so she requested for our contact number (this is a fraud). Out of concern my friend gave Miss Puja Sharma my contact number. Later that day I received a call from this lady demanding for the money that I had to pay. I explained her what had happened and that I was ready to pay but only what I actually owed and not the full amount. She agreed to it and we came to an agreement that I would only have to pay Rs. 1600.00.

So on the 1st of August this year my brother made a payment through cheque which bounced due to signature not matching. This was only told to me when I called the lady on mobile number: ([protected]) to find out about my NOC. Then we agreed that I would pay the amount by cash which I did on the 10th of August (bill no: e. 1666217) and was told that I would receive the NOC within 2 days. I waited for a week and I did not receive the NOC so I again called up Miss Puja Sharma and she told me that she would get back to me. Today is the 28th of August and still no response from the lady nor have I received the NOC. I tried calling the number that I called in the past to speak to her and now when I call the number I get a message saying that the number does not exist.

I am worried that my brother would again be harassed by Airtel Ltd. In my absence so I request you to please help me out in this matter.

i have a landline connection of airtel[protected] which is not working from 2/jan/2011, and i have registered a complaint regarding my number on 13th of jan.They said to me that they need 7-8 working days to resolve this problem but nobody took any action.i had to complain again and again to airtel but they promised me to resolve this problem and nobody took any action, finally i had asked them to disconnect my services .i kept on recieving the bills for a disconnected landline and i was forced to pay those bills, everytime i had to tell them the same thing that why should i pay the bill for this number, they said sir please ignore those bills and kindly wait for 15 days more.now today is 7th of april almost 4 months and my landline is still not working even not disconnected.kindly take some action and plz reply
