[Resolved] Airtel — Conversion of Post paid to prepaid | |
I am a post paid customer and have been using Airtel Post paid connection for last one year. I have been facing a lot of problems ever since i got my post paid connection ([protected]) started. I have given lot of complaints as well. ( call interruption, call tapping, poor billing system and the like) . I paid my airtel bill always in a prompt fashion despite these problems every time. Of late, I felt that, the problems with Airtel post paid is not getting sorted out permanently so that it is better to switch over to pre paid connection. I approached Customer Care executives for necessary directions and they in turn told me that there is no problem for converting a post paid number to prepaidlife time connection without changing the existing number. They rightly explained to me the procedures that I got to follow for the same. But, contrary to my expectations, when I approached the local Airtel outlet here in Portblair, they told me that in Andman Nicobar Islands it is not possible to have the above mentioned conversion. I was surprised to here this.Is it my mistake to work in Andaman? What is so wrong with Andaman ? Why are your company's policies often becoming detrimental to customers? If I say that I have got a policy that " Since my post paid is not getting converted into prepaid i wouldnt pay the due amount".. would you accept that ? A comapny's policy should always be favouring the customers ? is it not? Every other mobile companies in and around Andman is giving this facility and why can't Airtel give the same ? I have given this number to all my relatives, friends and colleagues and you people wanted me to give another number to them once againand spending anothe lot of bucks all over again ? You post paid connection and confusing executives and professionas have harrased me enough and subsequently my social image has been tarnished. I requested postpaid to prepaid my postpaid number of airtel. from last 3 months they told they wil ldo it . but again theyare telling so many stories . still its not happen. i have submited docuemnts 3 times and i called customer care so many times and also i called nodel executives n number of times but still its not happen. but finally decided to don't pay bills . but i don't want to miss my number

I am saibaba, I had recieved the call from Airtel excutive sandhya rani, she called 2 to 3 times and told me about the offers on postpaid and other terms and conditions to which i agreed, she send me an excutive and ask me to give the ID and Adress proof and advance of 300/- rs, on the same day evening mr.Shravan came to office and took all the details and cash 300/- rs and gave the sim and said it would be registered in 3 days,
next day he called that our Executive is coming to your home for address verification I said him right now nobody is available at home you kindly visit on other day, they ignored the same still went to home, and next day i received the msg registration failed.
from that time i am calling both sandhya & shravan both phones are coming has not reachable or busy,
I kindly look into the matter and do the needful

I have a corporate CUG Post paid SIM which I wanted to change to prepaid But it is unbelievable. I went to Ascendas chennai Show room. were the persons was completely helpless. He was literally saying that dont waste my time and asked to reach my HR for changing this SIM which I feel its completely out of lane and the way he was treating was nasty and lost the complete hope with Airtel. When I reached Customer care I hear lot of back ground noise and the support person voice was so low that i hardly hear this voice totally lost of time. i recommand to go to other vendor no way with airtel any more.

I have submitted my all documents including Pay slip, Address Proof, Id Card, , Voter Address, Pan Card and 250 Rs cash on 13 November 2014 (Thursday) for prepaid to postpaid migration. They told me it will be activate in 72 Hours but its been 6 days and still my connection is not activated.
Please find attached the slip which they provided me on 13 November.

My query or request was to migrate 2 different numbers from post paid to prepaid. I have been made to walk into multiple centers, they have always been stating you cannot migrate and so on. Further Airtel relationship center representatives start questioning us why are you migrating and the reason for migrating. I don't think you guys have the rights to ask personal questions. It is customer discretion whether he or she needs to continue the services. I have been an Airtel customer for the past 15 years. The customer service provided by Airtel in their relationship center has been preposterous.
Customers are treated like dogs by these relationship centers, 99% of the times the front line customer service agents are absolute jokers with no knowledge nor do they know how to talk to a customer.
Airtel has been cheating customers stating the different level of escalating authority. I have received email from the same guy stating that he is the nodal office and also he is the appellate Authority.
I have subsequent proof regarding the escalation. Will surely do what I'm supposed to do.

Airtel — My airtel postpaid (which is converted to prepaid) is now blocked
I am using this postpaid number ([protected]) for 2 years. Recently I converted it to prepaid. Documents were also submitted at Splendid Towers, Hyd on 13th July 2012. I even recharged & made calls on this number ([protected]) on 15th July but it is somehow made as free number now. I need this number now either under prepaid or postpaid. Please help.
