[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — Complaint against Airtel

We had installed Airtel Digital TV on 30/05/2009. After a week the screen started showing that this card is not valid. By contacting Airtel Call centre they told that Rs.100 is balance from our side. After recharging Rs.100 it was activated. After a week again i.e. 15/06/2009 again the TV screen showed that this ID card is not valid. We again called centre again they informed that we have subscribed for ESPN package and Rs.60 is pending in our account. While we had not sent any SMS for subscription. The fact is that airtel has deactivated free to air channels also. Is airtel collecting Rs.50-100 every week with the customers who had subscribed for free to air channels for one year on some pretext or other?
Why are ads given for fee-to-air channels subscriptions for one year? Can I get justice from airtel? Every time we contact airtel customer service they say "You pay this amount this time and next time it will not happen? Is this the way adopted by airtel to humiliate genuine customers and harrass them by charging them exhorbitantly evey week?

AirTel — NON RECEIPT OF PIN FOR VIA MSG FOR RECHARGING DISH TV

I am a dishtv subscriber, due to expiring of my dishtv subscription, on 23 Apr I have make payment of Rs 250 through sbi mob banking. For which I have to recieve PIN at my mob No [protected] for rechargeing the dishtv connection using the PIN. I have immediately recived the two transaction msgs "Request accepted for processing payment of Rs 250 to dishtv Code=949 Tid=[protected]" and "Rs 250 recieved for dishtv Transaction Successful(0) Tid=[protected]" and the amount has been immediately deducted from my account but the PIN was not delivered by the network provider. I immediately contacted sbi service centre and they told to coantact the network provider. On contacting to the airtel customer service they neither given me a suitable reply nor solved the problem. At last I recharged my dishtv again on 25 Apr through dealer. Hence my request to please help me to solve the problem. My mob No is [protected] and my dishtv VC No is [protected].

Airtel DTH — Re-Installation has not happened even after 11 days

I have been an airtel digital TV customer over the past one year and my customer id is [protected]. Recently I moved over to my new flat from a rented one in Bangalore and hence raised a request (Ticket no: 6963422) for re-installation. This request was raised on 14.04.2011 and it has been 11 days since then, but no one from airtel has cared to visit my place and complete the re-installation. I have spoken to the customer care representatives numerous times on this and every time I have been assured that re-installation would happen by 21st of April. I was given the local service center number ([protected]) by the customer care and I also called up this number several times and spoke to several people ( Arun,Mallikarjun,Rama, etc) and each time I was told that re-installation would happen 100% on that day but ultimately nothing happened. One service engineer Chandru ([protected]) called me 2 days back, got my address, landmark etc and assured me that he would come by evening but didn't turn up. Yesterday, another person by the name of Naveen ([protected]) called me , took my address, assured me that he would come by 6'o clock in the evening but didn't turn up. I talked to him several times today and each time he would tell me a different time at which he would visit my house. First time he said he would come by 2 o' clock, next time he said 3.30, next time he said 6.00 and finally he said 7.30 P.M after which he stopped taking my calls. I was given the nodal office number[protected] to which calls were never answered. I am literally sick of the way Airtel handles its loyal customers and am seriously planning to move over to a new service provider unless this re-installation is immediately done. I would like to lodge my strongest complaint against the local service center here for their inefficiency and calousness in handling this simple request.

The issue was settled yesterday. Technicians from Airtel visited my house and completed the re-installation.
there is going to be no response from airtel dth you will have to file case in consumer court in following format I too had the same problem and am filing the case shortly my cus id is [protected] and my no is [protected] call me and take help free of cost .

dear friend dont wait just lodge a compliaint with consumer fourum your issue will be resolved plus you will get what ever they have charged extra plus you can claim for the harrasment and wastage of your precious time

I'm still awaiting a response from your customer care executives/technicians. My setup box is down since 8 days and the company is willfully deducting the daily amount from my account without showing me any channels.
I'm repeatedly complaining to your customer care numbers(both tolled & toll free) and every time i get the same response that your complaint is being looked into and it being forwarded to the concerned persons.
Today around 4.30pm i once again called up your customer care executive and was shocked to hear that only one complaint dated 26.4.2011 has been made by me and that has been resolved. I was astonished to hear that my all complaints were forwarded to deaf ears and i was just being made to understand that problems are being resolved. So this time i insisted your executive to provide me a complaint number[protected], so that once again I may not be the part of the same trick.

If this would be the attitude of your executives, then I'm sure it would hurt your company in long run.

Kindly look into the matter urgently. I'm unable to view any channel even after 8 days of recharging.

We had a problem with Airtel Dish from 03.05.2011, we had made a complaint on the next day. But till date no solution had been taken, in the mean time I had made more than 4 calls to their call center for the rectification. On Saturday (07.05.11) one person came & said that the Setup box to be Changed & also conformed that he will replace with New one by the next day. Yesterday (08.05.11) one of their person Mr. Subramani (Employee Code – FCHI 23) had came to our house & installed the very old setup box unit & informed us that we have to pay 350.00 rs for that & also he said that the Instrument will we guaranteed for only 3 Month, further any problem comes then we have to go for another unit, I had informed him that if you replace with New one then we can pay the amount , since you are replacing with the old one we need not to pay this amount as it is one of your duty to do service to the customer, in this due course of discussion Mr. Subramani had replaced the old fault unit in our house & removed the service unit & left the house with any response.

We want the AIRTEL to refund the Balance amount as on 2.05.2011 & also the Initial Deposit amopunt of Rs.2,800.00 immideatly.

Our kindly in home are total upset with out network & mentally suffered lot as they are in Holidays.

Please sujest what to do in this

Airtel DTH — worst customer service from airtel disconnecting calls and not having any idea and no documentation

have been using airtel dth for a year and my customer id is :[protected]


On friday: 6/5/2011

I had placed an order for another set top box for the second tv at home and i had paid 999 rs through ivr transation id :14942611
I was told that the installation will happen within 24 hrs and there will be no charges for cable as well as settop box and the installer will come and install within 24hrs.

It has been more then 72 hrs . I have talked to multiple ppl in customer support no one has any clue about what is going on here. couple of agents even disconnected my call.

The installer called me up on saturday and said that he has no information about the paymernt and he will only install if i pay for the settop box the number of the installer is : [protected],[protected]

On saturdy i was given a refrence number:[protected] and i was told the installation will happen today and the installer was taken in the call by the customer care lead and was told that the payment has been made and installer agreed to install on the phone but he did not show up and when i am calling him now to install he is giving the same old story that he does not have information about the paymernt and he cant install til i pay him for the set top box


I have talked to many people in customer care and some of them leads like Mr Manoj and other but all of them have just kept me on hold and disconnected the call .

i am very disappointed by airtel on this . I have been using airtel phone for 6 yrs and never had such a pathertic experience. i will like airtel to either solve this problem today and install the settop box for which payment has been made or refund my money for both my connections as i wont like to be associted with a dth which has such a poor customer care .

The worst cutomer experience and the problem is still not resolved as there system does not show what happend with the money,

The installer has no detail of the payment made and the customer service ppl have no clue about what to do .

Hi There,
I had registered a complaint regarding my remote(STB’S REMOTE) malfunctions on 4-June-2011 . Reference No of that complaint was 8692825. Customer care executive informed me that issue will be resolved by next day i.e. Sunday.
But nobody arrived and after again calling they gave me new reference no[protected] assuring me that they will resolved it.
Till now nobody has arrived to resolve the issue. Now I have received a message from Airtel side informing me that above issue nos(8692825, 8785088).
How can they can close this without resolving it.
First of all nobody comes to resolve the issue. Issue is still there in my remote and on top of that they are closing these issues without resolving it.
Please inform me about this action.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — No Installation after 1 week of purchase

Extremely Bad Experience: I had purchased a new DTH connection (A/c: [protected]) on 8th June; I paid in advance thru their IVRS...till date:
1: No One has bothered to install the device at my home
2: The engineer had called me on 9th twice, but never turned up
3: Have tried calling up theircustomer care....dont even get me started on that....worst experience ever...all 3 times i've been kept on hold...dint even recieve a complaint ref no...
4: I've paid a 12 month subscription in ADVANCE

Have no clue now how to get a refund at least....

I have taken Airtel DTH connection last month. But still now i am unable to see several channels. I have given complaints more than 3 times. But there is no respose from them.

technicians visited my house and adjusted the dish with the assurance that i will be getting additional tamil channely like vasanth adithya, captain etc. But there was no response for the past 15 days.
