[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — HELL CUSTOMER CARE

I have purchased Airtel Digital TV on 28th of August 2011 and my customer id is [protected] .
But i realized the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider.
I have following concerns:
1. Some time some channels shows the Connection lost screen (Error Code B0001).
2. In rain as well in drizzling it does not respond and hangs.
3. Whenever I called customer care they give me same stupid solutions :

* Restart your set top box.
* Unplug your cable and reconnect.
* Remove any obstacle in front of Dish.


Really a very bad DTH service provider.I suggest never buy Airtel Digital TV.

Airtel — False Statement by Customer Care Executive

In order to deactivate a package that gives cricket scores on my mobile, I contacted the customer care. I was informed that the package would be deactivated on 12th December 2008 at 17:00 hrs. It is 16th December today and I am registering this complaint at 19:00 hrs. That package has cost me Rs.15 since then.

I work in a company called Vodafone and do understand matters send through this media works really well and hence I am writing to you. Hope someone will read the mail and take some action.

I went to this Store in Patna (Aditya Vision) to buy a Airtel Digital TV on 24th October with my family on eve of Dhantaras. The Airtel representative explained me about the available subscription packages and I choosed one he explained to me Economy = Value + 35 channels. As per him the annual charge for the same subscription was Rs. 2000/- and I would have to pay for anything extra that I want. But little did I know I am committing a crime that I will have to pay my peace with. Thereafter started my wooes and ironies with Airtel.

I was asked to call a tollfree number to get the set installed. Same night I called up the tollfree number and they told me that they will send someone to install the set. Next day two persons from Airtel visited my home and installed the set. But due to some problem they couldn't install it properly and went back promising to visit next day again. Before leaving they gave me the shock of my life. They told me that the 2000/- that I have paid is only for the default 65 channels which didn't include my favorite channels Zee, Star Plus, Sahara One, Imagine, Aaj Tak, Zee News, O TV, ETV Oriya, Movie Channels & iNet. When I told them that I was told by the distributor that I will be getting these facilities, they told me that the same distributor has sold several sets promising false commitments to Customers. I got in touch with Airtel peoples and explained how I was cheated and requested them either to take back the handset or compensate me by giving the channels I was promised to. Local airtel officials promised me that they will look into the matter. Though more than 80 days has passed since then nothing has been done till now.

Infact, I am getting a no signal message which has been taken by deaf ears by local airtel peoples.

On 25th when the Airtel staffs left my home after installing my set, asked me to call tollfree number to recharge the voucher as the system was not working in my set top box. I called up Tollfree and recharged my account as per the instruction i received from them. But local Airtel people are saying that my account has not been recharged. Now I have simply a set top box which is simply consuming space in my home without serving any purpose thereof.

I had a lot of faith on Airtel Digital TV seeing all those ads and also after using the Airtel Connection I have been using from Airtel since last two years. Infact, even after starting of Vodafone Service in Bihar, I haven't disconnected the Corporate Connection of Airtel. Hope someone will read this mail and try atleast to resolve my wooes.

Also if someone is listening, would like to understand the escalation matrix for logging a call for any issues.

Airtel Digital TV — Digital TV Installation

Samsung, India was running a promotional offer. Anyone that buys a samsung LCD or Plasma TV was eligible for a 5 Month Free AIRTEL DIGITAL TV. I had to wait for atleast 3 weeks before the retailer gave me a coupon code. I have been calling AIRTEL on a toll free number to book an appointment for them to come install the Digital TV.

I had called them atleast 4 times and they ask me to call them back after an Hour, since their IVR syatem ( Guess this is their system to generate a work order) is not working. I managed to speak to their manager once and they took my PIN # on the coupon and said they will feed it when the system becomes available and SMS me the details on my mobile phone. That has not happened even after 4-5 calls.

I wonder how irresponsible they could be and have a customer call them everyday to hear the same thing. Talk about customer service huh!! Their tag line .."Come home to the Magic"..means, you can buy our services, but we don't install the service.

I have seen myself how a big brand like Airtel has pathetic customer response when they call me hundred times to update my address records for my mobile connection. Only after i have threatedned to cancell all corporate connections for my office, did they stop calling

Airtel — complaint not taken care of for past 6 months, unreasonable disconnection of services

A tariff plan change was requested by me in August 2008 which was not taken care of. Subsequent bills calculated as per the wrong tariff plan (hence more than what i was liable to pay). No corrective action taken even after repaeated communication with the customer care. Matter continued till january when all dues where cleared. Irrespective of that, the services were disconnected from the phone on the same day. Services have not been restored even after repeated communication with customer care.

This is the height to which such hypocritical companies like Airtel play with the customer's time and test their patience. Where there should have been no problem at all, the matter has forced me to lodge a complaint against the company. Its high time they learnt a lesson.

DishTV — non receptant of channels

our connection was taken on14.5.08 and free service would expire on 14.5.09 .but it has expired from 5.3.09.two months before.because your employes have not shown the receipts of date of deposit scheme to the head office .My vc no.[protected]. Please check our problem.the work has been delayed for more than 5-6 days

AirTel — CUSTOMER CARE NOT GIVING RESPONSE

I HAD RECHARGED MY CELL [protected] 0N 17/03/2009 WITH WITH SABKUCHH PLAN (148 Rs.) BUT ITS NOT WORKING. MY CALL (ISD CALL) CHARGES NOT CHANGED. AND CUSTOMER CARE NOT GIVING ANY PROPER SOLUTION.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Does Not deliver promised channels

I subscribed to Airtel Digital TV on 2nd of March. At the time of subscribtion I was promised a whole lot channels and the same was confirmed in writing by Airtel.

After subscribtion, the promised are not viewable, I have raised this issue with Airtel Customer Service but of no use. Evry time I call them they just have a standard answer " We are looking into it".

My request for escalation of issue was bluntly refused by customer service executive. Mails to [protected]@airtel.in has not fetched any response.

Its been almost a month ann there is absolutely no progress on this.


Im surprised by the so called professional of this company who doesnt even bother to reply to their customers mail and have such an arrogant and insensitive customer service executives.


I dont want to continue with Airtel.

AirTel — customer care of airtel is Hell

On 26 March, 2009, I made 3 recharges in the order, Rs 40, Trans ID[protected]; Rs 31, Trans ID 78536088; and Rs 20,[protected]. At that time, I did not know that Rs 20 easy recharge does not exist. I made the Rs 40 recharge first, and I got the message of it first with the Trans ID[protected] and last I made the Rs 20. So when nothing was happening, I called the customer care and registered my complaint. They said me that I did not do the Rs 40 recharge, when i said the ID they said, they had a mistake there and then they said that i made the Rs 20 first, so i have the Rs 20 activated on my mobile. Then they said that, when u do 2 recharges for reducing the call rates at the same time, only 1 goes through. I said to them that it was my fault and I don't want the Rs 20 and change me to the Rs 40, they said "OK" and they said its done and i was changed to the Rs 40 plan, but there there was nothing done. I thought may be they need some, then I called them the next day, it is hell to get get through them, took at least 10 minutes to get to an executive. I have to tell all my complaints once again. They put me in line for almost 15 minutes. After that, I got a reply that they need 24 hours...

Today is April 4, 9 days after I registered my complaint, till now I haven't had it resolved. I called then on 4 different days. Each and every time they said, I will get it resolved in 24 hours and they are sorry. Last time, when I checked with them, I got a reply called "I[censored] have any complaints, go to your nearest office". Then why these companies made these so called Customer Care Executives. I lost almost Rs 60 that day. Who will pay for it and who will pay for the time I lost, spending hours to get through to then

What should people like us do?

Airtel — Not transfering my call to customer care executive

I am using airtel prepaid card since last 1 year. Whenever I need to talk with customer care executive, they are not transfering. Just at the moment when call is to be transfered, call is rejected & beyond this a lady thanks me for calling ( Already recorded voice ). From past 3-4 days I am trying to talk with customer care executive, but they are literally ignoring.

dth big tv — prorammes not coming and customer cae not attending

My bigtv subscription card expired on 28 april, immediately i got it recharged but they havent resumed the programmes yet nor customer care picking up the phone. Now whome to contact and how I dont know.

I purchased Airtel DTH to replace my existing Dish TV DTH... I thought Airtel DTH will be better than Dish TV DTH... but it is pathetic... Airtel DTH is simply cheating thousands of their customers...

Very bad marketing team (they are the real frauds)
Very bad customer care team (they are looting the time of customer at the name of care)
Very bad set-top box (very slow, very bad interface, very bad software)
The Airtel DTH is very cheap in fact in terms of features as well as in terms of services and commitment... however their rental is very high...

Airtel Digital TV — Technical Problem

I am the first customer of Airtel Digital TV in my locality, was proud to here that indeed.
But i realised the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider. The installation was left midway by the service engineers, even if you call the Pune call centre hold on the line for min 15 mins slapping your phone bills & the worst the executive will disconnect your call if he/she does not has the efficiency to solve your problem.

I tried mailing the customer care dept -- [protected]@airtel.in, giving them reminders every second day, but in vein i get only a auto-generated- response, whcih means Airtel is very well in reciept of all the mails, i am still waiting for the reply.

I am also having a Tata Sky connection since a long time, but have not faced any such issues with them, atleast they are eager to hear what their customer has to say.

My strong advice is NEVER GO IN FOR AIRTEL DIGITAL TV, UNLESS U HAVE THE ELIGIBILITY TO BRIBE A HIGH GRADE OFFICER, WHO CAN HELP U SORT OUT THE WORST WELCOME TROUBLES U WILL FACE AS A CUSTOMER.

Airtel — Amount charged for No service received

I have been approached for a telephone and broadband connection at my residence 38 C B Pocket Dilshad garden and I have paid the applicable charges of INR 649 (Bill No-581431 and I have my bank statement showing the charges are cleared )and same has been debited to my account on 15th April approx.
Because they need to dig the premises to plant the cable i have disagreement over the issue of digging and hence I denied the request of connection to the sales agent Mr. Amit Kumar Tripathy (Air tel Sales in charge of Dilshad Garden) and since then my money is stuck and no communication from air tel end to reverse the amount.
Also when i contacted Amit Kumar Tripathy the sales in charge he responded that the amount will be reversed in on week later when i contacted he very abruptly answered to contact customer care. Since the connection was not provided hence Airtel shouldn't debit money initially also if debited they should have reversed immediately.
I need resolution as well as compensation for all inconvenience faced.

Airtel Digital TV — For what the usb port is in the stb

Sorry I am asking you this by complaint but i have noticed a usb port in the stb for what is it.
when i called customer care it is for future use they are not telling me exactly . can you tell me exactly what is it by message on the ADTV Customer ID is- [protected]
