[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — HELL CUSTOMER CARE

I have purchased Airtel Digital TV on 28th of August 2011 and my customer id is [protected] .
But i realized the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider.
I have following concerns:
1. Some time some channels shows the Connection lost screen (Error Code B0001).
2. In rain as well in drizzling it does not respond and hangs.
3. Whenever I called customer care they give me same stupid solutions :

* Restart your set top box.
* Unplug your cable and reconnect.
* Remove any obstacle in front of Dish.


Really a very bad DTH service provider.I suggest never buy Airtel Digital TV.

this is the worst customer service i ever came across. the customer care executives (CCE) are so irresponsible and ignorant nobody knows what they are for. they are inadequately trained for their jobs. i was using ADTV in madurai, but got transfered to gulbarga. they told me to recharge my account with rs.600 and call back to book date for de-installation & re-installation. i had to call 5-6 times to get it de-installed. everytime a CCE attends and asks me for every detail and keeps me on hold for 15-20min, and finally either call get disconnected or they say it will be done within 24hours which will never happen.i have been repeating same thing for re-installation since 16th oct and untill today nobody has taken any action regarding my problem. im really fed up of calling these foolish CCE who know nothing. today i was put on hold for 28 minutes which is pathetic. if you cant meet the customers demands better close your company and get lost. when im paying for your services i expect u to be up to mark. airtel digital tv is worst and i dont recommend it to anyone...not even my enemies.

airtel digital tv through vriti.com — no response

i read the ad on internet of airtel digital tv and applied for new connection online on 19/10/2009, within few minutes i got a call from Mr. manoj shah ([protected]) of vriti.com to make the payment online, which i did around 6:30 pm the same date.my transaction id no. 1741337. i was told that it would be installed by 4pm on 20/10/09. on 20th there was no call from airtel or vriti side. so i calledup mr. manoj at his no. which he didn't pick up. so searching onthe net i found few nos. and on repeated calling i was able to talk to mr. taufeeq who got my digital tv activated and asked me to call airtel CC toget the id Which i did.but till now (i.e. 20/10/09 5pm) i have not recieved the equipment and no one is picking up the phone either at vriti.com or airtel Customer care. plz someone help

Airtel Digital Connection — No Response From The Company against DTH Connection

I have purchased the Airtel DTH connection in this month of sept. 2010.and there is free service given by the company for six monts from the purchasing date. There is some problem in my DTH Connection, there is no signal recieve in the Set Up Box. When i complaint about this problem to the company care executives, they told me they registered my complaint and given me the complaint number and given me the time of visiting of the airtel eng. for this problem. But now there is 5-6 days have spent but they n`t solved my problem, every time they given me the new complaint no. and told me to wait till tommorow.....so what action would i take about this matter. Here are the complaint no.`s with the dates which company executive given to me.

We had change the our Room at 27.09.2009 and set the annetena by us. but not start any programme in our digital TV then we talked the customer care then executives told me that please submit 300/- in our A/c then we had deposited Rs.400/- before 20 days but your engineer has not come yet for re-installation. The amount is deducting from my A/c day by day. we are more facing problem with one month

I do agree with Shilpi, whenever I called up airtel DTH cuctomer care (CC), after few minutes call gets disconnected automatically and again I have to start all over to explain my problem to the new CC guy who takes my call and that too gets disconnected sometimes, Air-Tel has such a good rapo when it comes to network coverage (GSM Mobile) but god knows wht happens to their network when we call up CC. I had to call atleast 6-7 times to reinstall my connection (when i shifted from chennai to bangalore) and they finally did it after postponing the installation schedule 3-4 times. Whenever I called up CC, they apologise, book the new slot, raise the complaint and then nothing happens. They install only when they have free time, I failed to understand what is the purpose of booking the slot then?
Now that finally they have done the reinstallation, lots of channels which i get to see (in chennai) are missing in bangalore (most of the news channels, few movie, music and entertainment channels). It says set-top box is unable to receive the signal. I am so fed up with airtel now, planning to move back to my old cablewalla or TaTa-Sky hopin they would be better atleast. ! I am leaving my mobile number so that Mr Mohsin Khan should not say he could not find me !!!

Hello,
I am an Airtel customer since a long time – including broadband, mobile and digital TV. I have a concern with regard to digital TV service which I am encountering, and would like bring this to your attention Urgently.
I have relocated to Bangalore a few weeks back from Hyderabad. As part of this relocation I brought my Airtel TV dish antenna, cable and setup box. I called to Customer Care unit on last Friday, 30/10 morning to submit a service request for installing my digital TV in my new premises. The customer service executive gave me a slot of Saturday, 31/10 at 10.00 am for this installation. However, nobody came or called me till 11.30am – and finally I had to call at 12150 again to know the status of my service. They did apologies for this and reschedule this at 4.00pm on the same day.
Surprisingly nobody came as usual and no communication as before!! I called again at 4.40pm to know if they are going to send any technician or not. This time they said, YES, by 5.00pm some technician will visit and install it. At 5.40 I called again at the same number, and this time I asked to transfer the line to their Manager/Supervisor, after a long debate they did and some person name Srikant from Mumbai got the call and tried to convince me with another set of bogus promises. He was also tried to explain about SLA and ETA staff – he didn’t realize that it’s already been 48 hours – since I request.
However, when I asked him to transfer to his supervisor, initially he was not willing to, later he transferred to another guy called Zuber (this is a false name which I figured out later – and he may be a junior guy of Srikant). This person again promised me with this installation by Sunday, 1/11 morning 10.00a.
Finally I called the same 12150 at 2.10pm just to understand what the Hell they are doing with this – since there was no person came or called me like always!!! This time a new guy Rohit who is again a supervisor, I guess – if he didn’t falsify his credentials like before. And unlikely earlier, same set of promises and same line of commitment! Now he said, he will going to install this by today, Sunday, 1/11 6.00pm – and if not by tomorrow evening – another 24 hours window!! Yesterday I wasted my whole Saturday only for this and I guess, today also the same will repeat – I doubt this time also nobody will address this issue. He also said, he is going to escalate to ‘Satish Kumar’ who is Bangalore Divisional In-Charge – I don’t know how far this is True!!! Even I asked them, if this time also the request doesn’t addressed, what I am suppose to do – interestingly they are just silent with no answers – may be thinking the customer should call again to start with a-fresh!

In total: This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable!!!

I observed/understand while talking to different person in your customer support unit – the official SLA of this service is 24 hours but nobody address or care about this. In my case, it now becoming 96 hours since I first called and booked a schedule!!! I am fail to understand, why these guys giving false commitment, if they can’t keep them!!!
Top of that, they are not willing to transfer line to their supervisor, if require AND if you asked their name, they give FALSE name/credentials AND when I asked give me your direct number, so that in case nothing happen I can reach you – here too, they are not ready to give. Further when I asked to give me the name/phone number or email id of the departmental head of Bangalore region for digital TV service so that I can followup if you guys can’t – they are scared of disclose this and just keep on trying to give some false statement!!
Every time I called, some different CSE picking up the line (I understand, this is natural) with a same set of question/answers – this become a frustration to the customer – since I had to explain the same story again and again and again. I have noted down all CSE names I spoke to, and when during a new call I asked them to transfer to those guy – just to avoid to repeat the same story, they are not ready to do that!!!
I honestly feel there is a huge gap in your processes and should spent a long time to educate these CSE properly to deal with customers, not giving false/bogus name/designation while talking and be honest and open to share their manager/supervisor details, if the situation demands – particularly when these guys are not able to do their JOB properly.
In my final discussion with Rohit, I mentioned that if they don’t install this by today, 1st November 2009, I have to discontinue this Airtel TV service from next day onwards. I am quite positive that I may have to do this – since the service of this unit is just unbelievable pathetic!

I would really appreciate your response on this ASAP.

Sir I have taken a connection of Airtel digital TV on 22Sept2009 during which i had been promised
to give four months economy package worth rupees 1790.00.
Despite, of paying full amount of Rs. 1790.00, now my package's validity is till 21 Nov 2009, which means the package is expiring after 2 months.
After several request and visits to the service centre the employees are just neglecting my complaints and trying to veil on their mistakes.
So, Sir I am humbly requesting you to take a necessary action and help me in rendering the promised service.

Airtel Digital TV — channels not active

I have paid rs 3400/- for south india megha pack but some of the kannada and tamil channels are not active kindly look int the matter and do the needfull my id is [protected]
bharti is better in mobile services and in broadband services but their customer care is so bad and they are not updating my balance after 20 days from the day i have recharged.

And after calling them more than 5 times my problem is still there..

i am a, sorry was a proud owner of airtel digital tv sice it launched,, my id is [protected] .
till now recently when i hav a problem no 1 seems to help. customer care is just confused as wat 2 do in
process . so when i have a delay in recharging 4 a day i get n number of calls 4m airtel as if i am being force to do..
when i lodge a complaint from past many days they just listen n dont halp or get back.
today i got 2 sms saynig complaint number 1515667 and 1515719 is resolved nad corrected . when infact no 1 has called or
visited to see my problem. i keep saynig i dont get signal and so on msg comes inspite of me recharged the ac.
now its almost 15 days , who will compensate for my loss in balance.? why dont you all understand?
today again when again i gave a complaint he said he will send 1 befre 7 pm. god knows wat month or date he mentioned.
the complaint id he gave was 1522726 . see this is the quality of service awat ?
send a techinchin as soon as possible at my home address..N AFTER WRITING email complaint to dth. they called only to know wat n dnt say wat they will do further, n then i got a sms saynig your complaint has been resloved.. boss wats hapning nothng happnd still that stupid sms many times to me. are you all gone crazy.. repay my full money or my balance thats been wasted since i last recharged.
Dear friends I too had the bad experience on Airtel Digital TV dish I too did not wish to have digital tv but it came as free offer from e-bay as diwali gift, One fine day i got a call saying we need to genarate the Customer ID to offer you the free gift they took all the infomation and even after 15 days nor i have received nothing if we call customer support they say to place the request through e-mail and after 48 hours i have not received i am hanging with the ID given by them i.e [protected] which is a waste.

i have digital tv from aritel under subscriber id [protected],nd i m unable to show some of my channels which are in my package,i call many times to customer care,they ask to restart the box and wait for 45 min everytime,this is only the excuse made by them,they give me a complaint no. on 28 nov is 1546150,nd say it will be resolved on 30 nov by 2.30pm....bt no response made by them,wen i call them they ask u r not available at ur registered mobile number,bt no any call is made to me in this perid,same they will give me a new request no. 1553789 yasterday, nd say on 1st dec by 3.30pm it will be solved,bt it nto yet.....i m fed up wid them,,,this is not a service provid to customers....please help me to resolve the matter as soon as possible, you may call me on the mobile number [protected] in case need some specific information on this.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Unauthorised Charges and Changing of Package with out any information and with out any Customer Request

I recharge my AIrtel Digital TV account on 13/11/2009 of rs.500/- for Mega Package and I Confirm the balance from customer care which is rs.446/- and Validity date is 12/12/2009 but 30/11/2009 i receive a call from Airtel Digital TV customer care that my balance is negative rs.549/- and my services disactivated by Airtel Digital TV. when i make a complaint against this on their customer care they said that a wrong package selected on my Customet Id and this complaint will be resolve Soon and give me a complaint no.1554426 on 30/11/2009 and the time 2/12/2009 on which complaint will be resolve and do nothing on 2/12/2009 they give me a new complaint no.1563299 and the time 4/12/2009 on which complaint will be resolve and do nothing and today on 4/12/2009 they give me again a complaint no 1570956 and said that they take 2 more days to resolve the complaint and my services disactivate till then.
very bad service.
engineers doesnt returned my money since 3 months.
the account information is not updated.
wrong account balance is shown by digitv.
responce time is very large.
