I had purchased an Airtel digital tv in march 09 & took part in there contest Stars come home, in the weeks time I was informed that I won nokia mobile phone in the contest & then the trouble started. Since then I have been waiting for my prize but I havent recieved either my prize or a satisfactory feedback from customer care department.

After making a number of calls to airtel customer care department & sending them a number of mails, I got a shocking response that my name was not in the winners list whereas my name was even published on there website(anybody can check on there site for my name) since last two months, also mailing there nodal officer was of no use.

Every time I used to call airtel customer care I was told that I will be getting a feedback in next 48 hrs which never happened. Now when I am inquiring about the commitment of the supervisor that I was suppose to get a reply within 48 hrs, the customer care department has no answers & are deliberately disconnecting the call after putting me on a long hold.

This is the most pathetic customer care service I have ever seen or gone through, thus I would suggest that no one should buy airtel dish tv because when you require a customer care service you will get none, even I have tried to speak to their manager who never came on line & disconnected the call. So if a manager of customer care department is avoiding the customers what will his subordinates do & how good the whole department might be, anybody can make out.

Dish TV — Pathetic customer care

I have realized today that dish tv is one of the major fraud companies operating in India and I wish they are out of business soon. I am not getting any signals from the antenna, the antenna needs some realignment but after 1000 tries, I am still not able to get it realigned properly. Only option is paid service. I lodged a complaint 7 days ago and they keep on promising me 48 hrs wait. All, those 12th grade failed customer care executives who speak in bhonglish (bhojpuri english), can say is "Sir I apologise".
My Dish TV blacked out about 10 Days ago with "Signal Not Found" error and since then I have made 100's of calls to their so called Customer Care No but everytime I call they log a new complaint and when asked what happened to the previous one, they say it has been closed as "No response from the customer" this though after providing 3 different Nos including a land line no.

I don't understand their logic, no response from 3 nos? I did not receive a single call from their technician and those jokers just say " It is our mistake, we apologise for it. Your issue will be addressed in 24-48 Hours" The same story is still continuing for the past 10 days and I'm so fed up that I have decided to get rid of it.

Dishtv sucks big time, they blackout star channels at will and quality is worst.

Please avoid DISHTV...thats my wish...

DishTV — Pathetic Customer service and very bad signal

Dishtv people have a skin of rhino. Nothing effects them. I am having a repeated issue of poor signal for the past 6 months. Thrice engineers have come and have done nothing and have charged me already 175/-. They are sending one more engineer this month and i have to pay again Rs 150/- They are charging me again and again for the same issue. When i try calling the customer care i have to dial an STD number and have to hold on for 30min to get through their call queue. The agents tell you to go for realignment of the dish and the engineer visit charge is Rs. 150.Simply they are cheating their customers. The engineers just do a trial and error job with the dish. They have no instruments to check whether the direction and the angle of the dish is right. Very very poor service i am planning to switch over to other DTH services. These people can only show big ads with big people. Can someone tell me also how to escalate this?

Dear Sir/Madam

This is to bring into your kind notice about the useless services of DISHTV. My VC Cards became faulty and replaced with new VC (viewing Card) in June, 2008. For replacement of card I had to pay Rs.700.
From that particular day the expiry date was mentioned 05th OCt, 2008.

But I made full years subscription of MAXI Plan, till January, 2009, to DISHTV.

I immediately complaint to DISH TV regarding transferring of my OLD Payment to New VC card, vide their complant No:15450297, which was made in July, 2008.

After that I must have sent more than 20 mails to dishtv reminding them to transfer the pending amount into new VC card. Number of times I called their customer support services also, but all in vain.

Finally as per their new VC cards subscription's expiry date, they have STOPPED MY Services on 5th oct, 2008.

Please advice what action to be taken by customer, whose explaint is still not resolved after so manys
follow up for more than 3 months.

Hi I have been using Dish TV for an year now, Whenever I have a problem i can never reach them on their toll free number and always have to call the other number and then stay on waiting for at least 15 minutes each time before reaching someone losing on my talk time and in spite of their promises to get the concern resolved within 48 hours I always have to make numerous calls to their customer care before I can get their technician at my place and that too takes a minimum of 10 working days.At earlier occasions I have bared with all this but this time I am not getting any signals for more than a week and I have made many complaints every time I am assured the problem would be resolved in 48 hrs. but nothing happens since the service is already paid for we can't do anything but wait its too frustrating. AND also i have been complaining about the set top box for last 2 and 1/2 months but no technician has come to see it and now it has completely stopped working I think they are just letting my warranty period pass so they and claim money later...It has the worst customer care service.
very bad service. customer care centers are ude and have no knowledge. i personally know the type of material those who work in call centers.sad.
i have add some spots channel to my acc but after some time my alll chanels get lost ? and no one is responding on toll free no ?

I completely agree with you. I also faced a very idiotic problem

Firstly these guys came in the afternoon and met up my elderly parents. Then they told them once they install this they would have a free subscription of three months. He took Rs148 extra 100 he said for teh scheme and 48 for extension wire. He also commited that they wont have to go out for recharging and everything will be taken care from within th house.

Reality
Within 15 days the connection was discontinued . On calling it was said that there was a lien of 48 for extension wire. I told them that I have a receipt of the same. They said it is not their problem . If we want to activate then we have to pay the charges. I called up the guy who had installed the thing and he did not know of any touch point wherein we could recharge. After two hours os struggling to locate a touch point I found one who just gave me the recharge card and he too did not how they processed it.. Its a sham... I would request all people not to buy this product as you would be in for a rude shock.

I am one of the customer of your airtel digital TV but sorry to say this is the poorest service in the service sector.
First of all your team is cheating the customers. I am the victim of that.

First was during the installation your team said that there is no cost of installation and there is no charges of the wire I can have how much I want but to my surprise after 3 days my TV was not working and when I enquired about the same in the customer service they told me that there is charge of 24 rs in your account that needs to be paid. When I told them that this was not informed to me then they said that its not our fault and you need to pay this if you want to watch the programme. Very casual attitude.


Now this is the second time i recharged my account on 8th March 2009 for Rs.500 which should be valid up 2 months but to my surprise I have started receiving your messages from 23rd onward. And today I have started receiving call from your call center. When I have asked this from your caller they told me that there is a top up charge which is deducted from my account every month for amount Rs.50 for ESPN which I have never asked for.

When I told this to your caller they said I was me who need to check this before getting it installed. Are you not supposed to tell about the charges and the hidden thing along with your plan?

Then he said you re charge it today else your connection will be no longer activated. Are they want to threaten me?

I have asked him to let me talk to the senior person the answer was that he is not on the floor.

I am calling since 4 days as my tv is not working and customer service is pathetic. They disconnect the call and few do not know english and they go on transferring calls. But finally still my TV is not working and aim still waiting for someone to come and look into the TV. PLEASE DO NOT BUY AIRTEL DIGITAL TV. There customer service have become very very poor.

Have sent emails, have called 15 times in 4 days, still no response. Pathetic, very poor service.
Pathetic Service, still i haven't received any call from Airtel, iam planning to get this taken out soon. AIRTEL is not maintaining good customer service.

Toll free doesn;t work, calling everytime to the tolled number, still haven't received any help. People who answer calls do not know what they are speaking and do not give respect.

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE AIRTEL anytime.

Dish TV — Remote does not work - Pathetic service

My remote has its button stuck and I am unable to change channels. Called the Dist TV personnel. These people have poor communication skills and customer skills and they or their system keeps disconnecting you when you ask the question or request a transfer to their supervisor. Private Industry in India is no better than Govt. Because they have a pathetic govt that does not look out for their citizens.

It seems like I have to buy a new Remote every time it fails. Why should I have to watch Dish TV? I am better off switching to the competitor... Or am I?

DishTV — Pathetic customer service

The customer service for DishTv pathetic amongst the customer services services provided by service providers.

My problem is that whenever I need service of their customer service, normally I had to make 20-30 calls to rectify my problems.

There were so many such instances during the last year subscription period.

For example, just recently on 13th of August 2009, I call-Anil Communication ([protected]), which was received throungh SMS from DishTv itself intimating me for recharging my DisthTv, which was due. I requested him to recharge my DishTv for a month, just for checking their efficiency and commitment. Then, he said, it will take 15-30 minutes to re-activate the service. But neither the service was re-activated nor the person picked my further calls till now (17th August 2009). I tried 20-30 calls within 2 days but he never picked my calls.

THIS HAPPENED EVERYTIME WHEN I SOUGHT THEIR HELP.
