Airtel / GPRS — GPRS too slow

I have an Airtel prepaid connection. I recharged my mobile with Rs 98 internet GPRS plan. But the speed is too slow. I specially purchased a new android phone for keeping mysel[censored]pdated with stock market movements but the gprs is too slow to support any software I install to give me share price quotes. Even google is not opened sometimes to browse anything. To my surprise the GPRS runs much better after 10 PM or so as compared to before that. I tried calling the customer care but they are unable to help. My mobile number is [protected]
