I recharged Airtel 2g internet pack of Rs. 22 on 18th July,2013 from kolkata circle. According to their website the benefit was 150 MB facebook usage+50 MB other usage. But after recharging online through their primary website, I found that only 5 MB other data was given. When inquired at customer care centre they were not cooperative at all. They tried to bypass their fault and told that they have changed their plan ( their primary website still showing 50 MBas on 21st july,2013) with effective to various dates. Clearly they were just trying to make a foll of the customer. Someone explained that I have already used 50 MB,but when i told that I didn't, someone suggested that plan has been changed internally. How they can change an existing plan without showing it to their main website?? I mean when a customer is recharging online he sees what is package rate from their website and then they recharge it. After recharging he comes to know that he will get reduced benefit as the plan has changed without mentioning anything during recharging. Its straightforward cheating. Its like you ordered and paid for 50 kg rice but when they delivered, they delivered only 5 kg stating that their ate has changed. How can this happen?? I am registering this complain to resolve the issue and help similar customers like me who has been cheated by the company.
I have never subscribed for Background Music. Airtel takes the liberty to deduct money from my pre-paid card. It is impossible to talk to their customer service executive at 121. There is no e-mail address to file a grievence on their Website. The "contact" again advises to call 121.
Often, I get the feeling that the Airtel cheats, especially in the UP(east) circle.
This is in reference to your launched scheme of offering Free VAS card worth Rs 500 to all your customers which enables them to download free multimedia contents worth the same amount from your Airtel Live VAS Card Zone up to 31ST DEC 2008.
I too received 4 VAS card for Rs. 2000/- from your side in Airtel Marrathon Race . I logged in the Airtel Live VAS zone on 27/12/08 using the card to download some contents on my mobile phone but all Airtel Live Service is working properly but only Vas zone folder is not showing in Air tel live. After getting a lot complaints, i have not received any reply from your side.
Finally I had to call up Airtel Technical Support helpline, as I was not entertained by the normal customer care executive. But Every times they said that some problem is coming in Vas zone link. So after 48 hours it will be ok. I am listening 48 hours from 3 days but i dont know when this 48 hours will be finish.
I registered my complaint (No. 22697047 ) and was told to wait for 48Hrs to get my problem solved and get my content on my mobile phone.
This whole scheme of Airtel for making new customers is just to making a fool of it’s present customers.
SPECIALY I PURCHASE ONE NEW PREPAID CONNECTION ONLY FOR DOWNLOADING BUT REALLY I am now completely frustrated with such a poor customer support service and the useless promotional scheme. I want you to take the above matter seriously and send a written reply on how my problem will be solved.

Since four five days back, I have complained to the air tel contact by phone call regarding the deduction of INR 99.00 from my prepaid airtel account saying that I had down loaded Java script games by using airtelive. I told them that I had not down loaded any sort of games since the use of air tel SIM. They told me that I would be refunded UNR 99.00 by 27th of this month. Today is 28.4.09, but no amount is credited in my prepaid airtel account. When I contacted today by phone, somebody from the airtel contact office told me that I had down loaded games. But, I am 100 % sure that I had not down loaded any games. Nobody uses my cell phone other than me. So there is no any chance of mis using my phone by anybody. It is todtally the mistakes of the airtel technical system. Now, how I should recover my INR 99.00. It will cost airtel company too much loss if they do not pay my money back.
You buy the SIM card, you add money and then they cancel your phone service because the dealer did not follow up. We lost the money we paid for SIM card (Rs 149) and Rs 1500 we had added on the phone. Our two weeks in India we were given a round around by the store keeper, the Airtel employees and the regional manager. In the end we returned to states without any resolution. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AIRTEL TO ANYONE!!!
I just want to complain against the deceiving action of Air Tel through SMS.These days,they are sending sms from a no 57272 in which they ask to answer a simple question and when answered correctly they claim a chance to win nokia mobiles/cash of 10 lakhs etc.But I really wonder whether they actually give prize to anyone or not.It is not happening just this time.Earlier also,they adopted the same tactic to grab a huge amount of money from their customers.They are taking advantage of the fact that hardly someone does any complaint against their deceiving action and even if someone does,no firm action has been taken yet.This is a very serious matter and some decisive actions must be taken against them as soon as possible.
I am using mobile office on my Phone and after i activated hello tunes on my phone number i started receiving multiple sms's stating that i have downloaded java game, wallpaper ,ringtone and what now , so much that i received around 115 messages in a night (10pm - 8am) which costed to a tune of 2500 RS!!
I have been paying the bills reguraly but this was a major turn off !! I dont use their "no goo" airtel live service apart for the hello tune . I have been connecting my phone to the pc for browing purposes only? Is this what i get for paying my bills on time and being an airtel custome for 2 years! really pathetic!
i activated a Rs99 unlimited browsing pack.after deducting the amount.the airtel people are telling it will not work on iphone and at the time of subscription it was not mentioned anywhere which handsets are compatible.And now they are not even ready to refund the money nor are accepting their fault.
I was using last three yrs Airtel prepaid. Last week i had message offer for RC 62 Rs 82 TT. they sent messages regularly after every call. My plan is 49 paise for all mobiles. I recharged RC 62 they changed my plan everything with out any information. I want to get back my plan i can't get back my 62 Rs.
If they stabilize with their plans it's very useful for all customers. This is very one way of Cheting the customers. this is very bad one for customers also. wherever i want ready to complaint and ready to throw out my SIM card also.
i dont know why u still going with the airtel as u have to opt for reliance gsm which has many full talktime offeres and unbelievable call rates and sms plans, see their web site and u believe or not my monthly recharge is reduced from 1000 to 600, was is int amazing! Just try for one month then only u will realize!

Sir, i am holding a prepaid card service with airtel. they have now started a new way of earning income and that is by cheating or rather defrauding their customers .The modus operande is as follows
1]the airtel co calls on the cell of the subscriber . and gives a missed call, as soon as you call back to find out who is calling an amt of the prepaid is deducted for subcribing to the option . is this not an illegal way of collecting revenue . i hav been cheated today. my mob no is 9867423750. an urgent solution to this problem, by me getting a refund and these calls stopping will be much appreciated.
I have got GPRS activated on my mobile but it never shows any signal. First of all calls to customer care chargable and whenever I call the customer care service they make me hold for long time otherwise they waste a lot of time talking irrelevent things just to charge us more. They also charge us for the time the phone is busy not connected to the customer care. I am facing this problem every time i give a call. They have asked me to call end number of times till now and still have not solved my problem. I have spent my entire recharge of Rs 295 calling them. They also charge me anything they want for my calls. I am really frustrated with these people and strongly feel that some action must be taken against them.
my balance was Rs 270 last night and now it is Rs 90..u ppl deducted such a huge amount in the name of some download...and i didn't got any msg regarding deduction..i surely want my money back in next few hrs otherwise i will port out and i have other 5 other connections..i will port out all numbers
btw how u ppl can deduct rs 175 ...for nothing...it is happening wid me every month
