[Resolved] Airtel — Sim Card Registration Failed | |||
My Airtel prepaid mobile [protected] service stopped working from past 8 days due to the error Simcard registration failed. Tried using a different phone but never worked. I tried contacting Airtel customer care many times and none bothered to look in to this matter. I had already sent many emails to the Airtel Appellate authorities and a lady named SHILPA S replied saying that my alternate number is not reachable. When I replied to her email saying "Stop lying" and start resolving the problem. She then sent an email requesting for all non relevant questions like, hows the voice clarity, how many towers are displayes, what does the cell info display status shows and so on. Finally she asked me for the SIM number which I sent through an email. I have never got an update and my phone is dead for more than 10 days now. This is not acceptable since this is the main number my family and relatives use to contact. I have also raised a complaint through Airtel www.airtel.in/airtelpresence and no response till date. Since it is too late I want some higher authorities from Airtel to look in to this and do the needful ASAP. I want Airtel to compensate for the loss that they have made to me and should pay for the difficulties I had to gone through because of their poor service. Was this information helpful? | |||

My name is Saroja and my Airtel Sim card +91-[protected] when used is saying SIM Card Registration failed. I have been using the SIM for the past 2 years and I made calls just few hours before this reported issue. I have raised request PR[protected] with Airtel but no response as of now. I have purchased a new duplicate sim on dated 21st May 2012 from Nehru Place customer relationship office and they told me that it will be activate after 24 hrs. but today is 4th june 2012 (14 days). but still my new duplicate sim is not activate. when i try to make a call so there is flash a message that "Error in Connection". when i have contacted to customer care of Airtel so they told me that i have to contact to that customer support office where i purchased it. But i have allready submited all the forms and documents which they demand.
I have already taken a full day leave from my office for purchase a new duplicate sim now i cant take another leave for this matter.
Please activate my duplicate sim as soon as possible, i have loss my business with number activation.

Airtel — new sim registration failed after one month
new Sim registration failed after one month even after submitting required documents.resubmission of documents done after three weeks but still my Sim no [protected] not activated and mobile phone service is no use.
shop keeper and airtel gallery also help less in this regards, online customer care services also helpless to resolve this issue, i really fraidup with airtel services.

1. It is intimated that I am spouse of a combatant member of Indian Air Force. Presently my husband stands posted to Air Headquarters (RK Puram). He has been getting treatment at Army Hospital (R&R) since 03 Apr 2012. In order to take care of my husband I purchased an Airtel SIM No –[protected] having No – [protected] during the third week of Jun 2012 by submitting the all relevant documents including an address identity proof duly signed by the Air Force authority.
2. The Airtel officials confirmed that the Airtel No [protected] does not issued on my name but on the name of an another person (Mr Jambal Mohammad). Needless to endorse that Airtel officials must have issued a card on my identity proof to someone else because the number which is held with me is on the name of some other person.
3. Being the spouse of an air-warrior it is a matter of concern and needs the intervention i.e. to trace out the individual who has been issued a SIM card on my identity from Airtel agent. In present scenario, if we consider this issue in pursuit with the national security the subject must be investigated into as to how clandestinely subscriber’s identity proof /details as well as Sim card has been exchanged. Misuse of the SIM card issued on my identity can also be not ruled out . Should I take it in to account the procedures of Airtel officials for canceling any Sim card registration as sua-sponte!
4. Having profound faith in your office that my case would be decided ex-aequo-et bono, a favorable intervention as well as suitable action at the earliest is highly solicited.

Now a days airtel has introduced a new way of earning money. Once it sells a sim card to any customer with one to two year validity and within one month it takes back the no.and the sim card shows the message SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED. And after six months the same no. is again available for sale. Is this not a fraud to the customer? And when asked with customer care the same problem they say that nothing can be done. So, by which rule Airtel is selling the same no. to different customers within a span of one year when the no. is sold to one customer for one or two year

I writing this to let you inform that i am not able to use my Airtel connection. Today 25-Dec-2012 when i was about to send text to my friend, it has come to my attention that its not working properly. it shows that Sim card registration failed.
In fact i am in UK and my sim is on international roaming and i used to get text and some times i send text to india and i always maintain 1000 rupees in balance.
I urgently need to get it cleared because this is the connection which i have been using for many years. if you dont mind could you please find out the errors and get it cleared. My airtel mob no is +[protected] . i am available in[protected] which is my uk no. i wish you could make a call to my uk no for further details. i have been waiting for your quick response.

My airtel Mobile no: [protected] is showing SIM CARD REGISTRATION failed error suddenly. Everytime They ask me to visit the gallery and resolve the promise to resolve the issue but no result. They gave me an emailId confirming that this mail is will help, but even that did not work.

Last Month I bought one Airtel simcard ( [protected]) and verification done they took 4 days to activate that sim card i printed 1000 business cards on this number later i got an simcard registration failed error i went to Airtel outlet they said some other agency guys has given same number to someone and they appolise me and give me another number[protected] even that number also got same problem after 1week again i visited to Airtel outlet again they appolise and gave me a third simcard ([protected]) after one month again i am facing same problem this Airtel is very very very Bad Company please don't go for this service provider and i have another vodafone number that i am using it from past 8 years i didn't got a singel problem from them.
