[Resolved]  Airtel — Sim Card Registration Failed

My Airtel prepaid mobile [protected] service stopped working from past 8 days due to the error Simcard registration failed. Tried using a different phone but never worked. I tried contacting Airtel customer care many times and none bothered to look in to this matter.

I had already sent many emails to the Airtel Appellate authorities and a lady named SHILPA S replied saying that my alternate number is not reachable. When I replied to her email saying "Stop lying" and start resolving the problem. She then sent an email requesting for all non relevant questions like, hows the voice clarity, how many towers are displayes, what does the cell info display status shows and so on. Finally she asked me for the SIM number which I sent through an email. I have never got an update and my phone is dead for more than 10 days now. This is not acceptable since this is the main number my family and relatives use to contact. I have also raised a complaint through Airtel www.airtel.in/airtelpresence and no response till date.

Since it is too late I want some higher authorities from Airtel to look in to this and do the needful ASAP. I want Airtel to compensate for the loss that they have made to me and should pay for the difficulties I had to gone through because of their poor service.

I took an Airtel sim card a few months back but due to a personal problem the sim was kept inactive for a few months and now when I am trying to re-use my siim, its showing an error stating 'Sim card Registration failed'. What should I do?

At the out set I would like to inform you that I have cleared all my previous dues.

I have requested for sim card change for my mob no [protected] on 29 Oct 2015 through one of your airtel gallery at pipe line road Vijayangar (manuvan) vide order no[protected] and/or 14892576. The old sim no is[protected] and the new sim no[protected]U.

very unfortunate that till now nothing is happened. however my old sim card has been showing as SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED SINCE YESTERDAY EVENING. FOLLOWING IS SUBMITTED FOR YOUR INFORMATION.

- I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT WILL HAPPEN WITH IN 20 MINUTES.
- UNFORTUNATELY TILL AFTERNOON NO INTIMATION REGARDING THE SIM CHANGE
- I WENT TO YOUR AITEL GALLERY AT MANTRI MALL BENGALURU BUT GIVEN DIFFERENT VERSION FOR NOT ACTIVIATING MY SIM CARD AFTER 28 HRS AND ASSURED IT WILL HAPPEN BY EVEINING.
- AGAIN SAME ISSUE NOTHING HAPPENED.
- I WENT TO YOUR AIRTEL GALLERY AT VIJAYA NGAR BENGALURU AT ABOUT 1900 HRS on 30 Oct AND LODGED MY COMPLAINT.
- BUT TILL NOW NO INTIMATION REGARDING THE SIM CHANGE RECEIVED.
- MY NEW MOBILE SIM DISPLAYS "NOT REGISTERED ON NETWORKS" MESSAGE.

THE MOST DISAAPOINTING AND SAD THING IS MY OLD MOBILE WAS DEACIVIATED YESTERDAY NIGHT AT ABOUT 10PM AND TO MY SHOCK THE MESSAGE RECEIVED IS SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED.

The following is brought to your notice.

- firstly this is an official phone which I use for all my communications.
- secondly the manner and the time it was stopped is really worrying as today is sunday and Karnataka rajyotsav day and all shops and offices are closed.
- I really do not know either it is by design or by default as I complained it at various gallery.
- it really affected my official work and put me in inconvenience as I am not able to manage official things on holiday.
- most importantly I was totally disconnected from all my friends/relatives and business which is great loss to me and also great cause for concern.

It is with great concern I request you to kindly ensure to activate my sim immediately failing which I may be forced to switch over to some other service provider. ( I have been using your service for the last 10 years)

I have taken so much of time to initiate this complaint with a hope of getting some kind of response from your end to find immediate solution in activating my sim.

Extra charge on relocation

Hello,
This is to inform that the airtel broadband team has charged me Rs. 300 for relocation, but I have clearly mentioned to only shift the cable wire to the 2nd floor from the 3rd floor without any change of address. I will surely agree if there was an address change. Please consider my complaint and do the needful.
