Airtel - Sim Swap by another Dealer

I have been using Airtel Mobile Since 2005.One of my Airtel Number 9936000011 which I had taken from M/S Ajmani Telecommunications, Lajpat Nagar Kanpur as a Postpaid connection in 2006 and had migrated to Prepaid last year ie in 2009. Since then I have been using. I ws out of station for the last month so I switched off my number as the incoming calls were Diverted to my other number and I did not want to carry 2 phones along.Last week on returning I came to know that my sim was not prooviding network.On visiting Ajmani i was told that she sim had been swaped somewerw in Varanasi.On asking how could it happen they were also mum.But they mailed to several seniors in the Airtel and finally I was given a new Sim which is now activated.But there are still so many Questions unanswered..
1..How was it possible to swap the number to someone other than me where as the Identity Proof,Address Proof,Photographs re submitted before any such event.

2.Where are the RULES which say that in case there is any such change to be done the original Documents are to be verified.

3 .The connection is issued from Ajmani Telecommunications and than again Migrated to Prepaid at the same Centre ,How can some one else Swap it.


Can anyone please answer these question as I stronlky feel that Bharti Airtel is a good Service Provider but fail to understand how this happened.

The worst thing I just came to know that the other person has furnished fakedocuments to get the number issued on his name..Strange ...how this could happen

It is strange that my prepaid balance is being deducted although I have not made any calls from this number today. Firstly rs 15 were deducted on 4th sept again yesterday morning 5th sept Rs2 were deducted. I contacted the customer care and requested them to deactivate all the tariffs or Value added services as I was unknown to the services which have been activated on my number. I also deactivated the Caller Tune for the time being so that there is no reason of deduction left other than making outgoing calls. But even after that Rs 15 were again deducted from the balance in the evening and when I contacted the customer care again I was told that 3 Numbers were activated for FnF special service and the amount @ Rs 5 per number has been deducted .I fail to understand How this is possible. Are 2 Sims activated at the same time.? How is it possible.???? But When I haven’t even used the Phone How were the FnF numbers activated.What is going on….as it was Sunday yesterday nothing more was possible to be done and now today Monday morning I noticed that Rs.2 again Have been deducted and now the Balance in the account is only 00.51 Paisa .I fail what is happening and what is going on with this connection. I went to the Airtel dealer Ajmani Telecommunication kanpur where the executive sent an sms “STOP” to 121 and assured that now as all the services have been deactivated, there will be no such occurrences of balance deduction as happened earlier. Hoping so happens, I again request Airtel to please look into the matter and resolve it on priority.

Dear Concerned,

This is regarding my Airtel Prepaid no 9936000011, It is disgusting that today evening my mobile number 9936000011 started showing NO NETWORK and when I switched off and again switched on the mobile set it showed "REGISTRATION FAILED" and when contacted Ajmani Telecomunications, the concerned Executive cheaked onn the System and told me that the SIm has again been swapped.I fail to understand what is going on .If any illeagal activiities take place with my number who will be responsible for that.The whole episode is raising several questions on Airtel as well..

How could it be possible that without my written concent or authority a duplicate Sim was issued somewhere in Varanasi.Does Airtel have any Legaldocument which shows that I have transferred the ownership of my number to someone else.If there is existance of any such document.I demand it to be shown to me in ORIGINALas soon as possible or otherwise I will file a Case in CONSUMER FORUM and the company will be ANSWERABLE and RESPONSIBLE for the consequences.


An early action will be highly appreciated.

action still awaited...AFTER 5 MONTHS AND SUBMITTING DOCS 3 TIMES RESULT IS STILL A BIG ZERO

again on the 4th feb 2011 the service to my connection has been kept temperorily out of service although I have submitted formalities twice to M/S AJMANI SONS .Can anybody tell whwt is happening
