Our country ,India, is the 2nd most populated country in the world. But does that mean that we show no respect for life? The right to live is our basic unwritten fundamental right. Nobody should be denied the right to proper care and treatment however hopeless his condition may appear to be. Everybody and especially the people concerned with healthcare must have a regard for life of a common man .I lost my brother-in-law to just such an attitude and general apathy. He was not given even the basic treatment and that too in a corporate hospital where apparently the latest state of art facilities are available! This I could know only because of my husband being a senior surgeon It is very difficult to fight against such corrupt practice but even then I will see it to end.
