[Resolved]  AQB SER CHGS — charges for what

I also faced the same issue, I tried to get in contact with customer care, but failed to do so, reason being they just didn't transfer my call. I was just reached to IVR, just listen and follow the instructions. They will never attend the call. I had contacted on the same number for a number of times before this issue. And now when I had a word with one of my relative working in H.D.F.C. Bank then I came to know that it was deducted becasue my account's account minimum balance requirement has been changed to 10000 from 2500. How they can do this? I had a number of times confirmation with customer care regarding the same when I came to know about this before 5 months. An executive from H.D.F.C. customer care told me that your account limit will not be affected by this change.

I am filling like robbed. This is my 4 days salary.

H.D.F.C.= Cheater's Bank.

I am quite irritated to see the AQB service charge deduction of 992.27 . I have gone through the list of charges for current account and there is no mention of AQB service charge. When first it was deducted in April 2010 i thought it might be some service
charge related to transactions, but now you have made a regular habit. Why should i pay Rs 4000 annually to HDFC bank without any
reason. Please give me a proper explanation else i will close my account and open account in some nationalised bank.

You banks are trying to eat customers money without any reason
if you have made any ammendments in the exsting rules, it is your (Bank's) resposibility to inform / educate customers, so that the customers can take a decision whether to continue banking with them or not ? these kind of practice is merely cheating and bank has to reverse this with immediate effect . there are lots of banks with better services and benefits

Its very simple, we all should boycott this bank, i am same victim of this case, AQB charges are deducted without any information of AQB, my balance was more than earlier told AQB but still it happened.These private banks are making fool of common people.Govt. Banks are far better than these ...

guys, same thing happen with me, HDFC Bank deduct 704.54 from my account because of that my cheque of rupees 500 get bounced

This is really not acceptable...Amount was deducted without any intimation/information.
and in a qrt Rs. 827 deduction is to hign...this is a way of taking the premium without informaing the customer..
I was shocked when i saw my account was debited by Rs. 827.
I am going to close the account very soon.

Same here deducted Rs. 827.25 for AQB SER CHGS and also NWD DEC CHG Rs.25.

Even I am facing the same issue. My case is I maintained Rs.5000/- and still they charged AQB of Rs. 827.25. When I spoke to HDFC customer care, then said the minimum balance is Rs.10000/-, whereas the home branch, told me maintain Rs.5000/- only. Anyone know where to complain abt it.

my account No [protected] i have been charged with AQB SER CHGS INC ST & CESS from april to june 2010 an amount of 750.25, without any prior notice. Upon asking the bank they say that these are the new rules from Jul-sep 2010 onwards and any account below 10000 will be charged this fee. This is totally unfair on the part of the bank. Instead of their stupid promotional offers which are totally useless I would have preferred if they had to at least send me an intimation email. 750.25 is not a small amount and i would prefer if the bank had to refund me back this amount. If not am closing my account and would advise anybody and everybody who is thinking of opening an account in HDFC to please think again, it would be the biggest mistake of your life.
