auto rickshaws — Auto Rickshaws
Inconvenience caused to commuters at Goregaon West and Malad West stations.Autorickshaws refuse to ply as per the customers request. This is a daily scene at Goregaon West and malad West stations. Inspite of requests and pleading by the customers, the drivers refuse to oblige. It is extremely inconvenient and the customers are being harassed everyday.
I sincerely hope this issue is sorted out
auto rickshaws — CHARGING OF EXORBITANT CHARGES BY AUTO RICKSHAW IN THANE
Dear sirRecently i took an autoriskha from close to Thane Railway station to Tikujiniwadi. the metere fare at tikujiniwadi showed it as Rs.4.60 which as per the latest tariff card works out to Rs. 58/- However, the Autoriksha driver took out a tariff card from his pocket and told me that the fare was Rs. 84/- I asked him from where he had got the tariff card. He did not reply to the same. Since i had a cutting of the tariff card published by the Thane RTO in the times of india, i was lucky not to have been fooled. I took the tariff card from him and tore the same as it was an in-correct tariff card. The riksha driver did not protest to my tearing the said card, which clearly shows that he took a chance to cheat me. Had it been some other passanger who did not have the tariff card, the auto driver would have easily cheated the passanger.
It is my humble request to the RTO officers that a tab be kept on the Auto drivers so that they do not cheat people by charging rates as per the fake tariff card.
auto rickshaws — Auto Rickshaws are rejecting to go to desired location.
Hi,This is to bring to your notice after long pondering that we face lots of problem in Goregaon (E)- Malad (W) while commuting by auto. They do not allow us to sit in their autos and tell us that they will not go. When we tell them that you have no right to say NO to a passenger when your meter is up. And the same way i am not able to get any auto from malad (W) (Interface) to Goregaon (E), many autowallas are standing on the road but all rejects to go to goregaon. Every day i am facing the same problem, after spending 15-20 mns on the road and walking to main road and asking 10-15 autorikshaws, i get an auto to goregaon.
if i say like i'll complaint to police, then also they dont go. it means they dont have any fear for these type of complaints or police is not taking any action for complaints, thats why still they are rejecting to go to desierd location.
i note down 1 autorikshw's no: MH 02 TA 9192.
I do not understand why such a corrupt behavior of Mumbai auto walas has not been brought to the notice of police.
I request the concerned people to take immediate action against these autos and provide feedback on the same.

Auto Rickshaw Driver Pune — Unjustified fare
Hi,It was 1st Jan 2011 (what a way to start the year!!!!) when we hired an auto to take us from aundh to Bhandarkar road and then to camp in Pune. Being in pune for so many years this is the most ridiculous incident I have come across. The meter showed 15.40 as the reading. The auto rickshaw driver ruthlessly charged us 200 Rs!!!! Moreover on asking him the tarrif card, he showed me one but looked more like a tailor made card for revenue making!!!!! (Forget about me giving in and paying such losers 200Rs. Paid him 140 to get rid of him). Also, mostly my travelling is in autos itself so am pretty much aware about the fare calculation bearing the diesel and petrol price hike that these guys give as an excuse. I would like the necessary officials to take necessary action against such drivers as what is more disheartening is when they would misbehave this way and pick up a fight with aged people and senior citizens.

its regarding the unjustified autofares charged that too most of the autowalas in the area of seawoods(W), Nerul, Navi Mumbai are plying without meter!!!! this particular autowala refused to take the auto and he charged Rs.60/- for going to a place which may cost half the price if he put his meter. Please take necessary proceedings against the autowalas which is giving trouble all the people near this area. Thank you.
Auto Rickshaw — Auto rickshaw charging exorbitant charges
My name is PS Rajesh. I am a Defence personnel based at Visakhapatnam. Currently am on leave staying with my parents at Pimpri, Pune. I can be contacted at [protected].I would like to bring to your notice kind notice regarding the autorickshaws parked near Collectorate office, Pune. I had particularly bad experience with two autos on 23 May at around 0830 Hrs. They are not ready to go from Collectorate office to KEM hospital, Pune. They are charging 20 Rs. for the same while the fare is around 12 Rs. The auto’s registration number are 5947 and 8066. Only last 4 digit I remember. They are always parked outside Collectorate Office unless they are plying. I had told the auto with registration number MH 12 5947 that I will report the matter but they told me to proceed with my complaint and rudely asked me to get down the auto.
Hence I will request you to kindly look into this matter and take action against this errant auto drivers so we commuters are not facing such problems again. Hope to hear from you.

i boarded an auto today upto malad and i gave in exact cash to the driver the auto driver came up stating i gave him a torn note of a rs100 bill i informed him i wudnt do so he started abusing me and commenting abt my weight please help what can i do since i was in a hurry i was not abrl to note the number plate of the auto.

auto rickshaws — All autorikshaw meters are adjusted for extra amount
My wife has been a frequent auto rikshaw traveller for about 3 years. Recently we observed that most of the meters in autos are charging 10 to 30 rupees for each journey depending on kilometers. When we raise our voice against this, we can get that amount waived, but still some people use abusive language. Police has to take this seriously as the number of autos with this fraud is increasing and one sad thing is that, we can understand only if we are a frequent traveller to some place. I am not sure how to take this forward to a higher level. Please help me and thus the whole public.
