Bihar Police — Ignorance o[censored]nauthorized Liquor Sale

Hi,

My name is Gunjesh Singh, belong to a village in Bihar. Saw this episode by Aamir Khan" Satyamev Jayate" on Liquor. This is a big problem specially in villages as people have started selling local alcohol as they do not have license and most of the youngsters have been indulge and no other bisuness can match as of now then Liquor.

I am not writing this in frustration as whatever need to happen has happened to my family and nothing worser can happen.My elder brother, younger brother and sister they are all indulged into Liqour. My father being well educated has retired as a Deputy Superintendent of Police. He has done what he could to get them straight and get them back but in vein.

Now things are way out of hand because you cannot even let them go out as post drinking they could anything and availability of Alcohol is ample as cheap as it is available at a Pan shop for a bare minimum amount of 10 rupees. Tough to get the Alcohol away or out of reach in the place.

I have a small questions? I being someone working outside at Kolkata as a Training Manager and just visit the village for not more then 10 days know about the unauthorized sale of liquor then what is Police department doing? My father must be ashamed of being associated as a Sr Office in the department for sure at present.

Bad that we talk about saving the younger generation but no action. Today it is me as an Engineer and my Father as a DSP, tommorow it might be the same police officer who is not bothered and is ok with the small amount he is getting to ignore their unauthorized liquor sale.

For practical evidence please visit the below village and regretfully its my village. Arrest and leaving the culprit is a common practice
